Hello and welcome to city of Porto and the Grande Porto region !

With this map you will be able to drive through the city of Porto and its surroundings, in 10 municipalities of the region, including a village in Spain, in 90 lines of 13 different companies (+4 internal STCP lines for personnel transport).

You will have a great variety of landscapes, from the old city of Porto, up to more rural places, with groves and wheat fields and up to the Atlantic Coast.
Many places like Ermesinde, Guifões and Águas Santas were recreated close to reality, always with a bit of imagination.
Other places like Prado, Redondelo and Lavouras were totally invented.
Included are portuguese speaking passengers and the STCP and TUP lines count with bus stop announcements..

Some basic informations:

- 43 new lines, 8 modified, 94 lines in total !
- 10 municipalities represented, 2 new (Trofa and Vila do Conde)
- 6 kms of Atlantic coast between Leça da Palmeira and Lavouras
- 300 kms of streets and roads to drive on, 250+ different routes
- Important places like Porto’s Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport and the Sea Port of Leixões
- Timetables and AI vehicles list updated

- Hundreds of AI lines, all based on real timetables

- Portuguese speaking passengers, with modified textures

Olá e bem-vindos à cidade Invicta e à região do Grande Porto!

Com este mapa vai poder percorrer a cidade do Porto e seus arredores, em 10 municípios da região, incluindo uma localidade em Espanha, em 90 linhas de 13 empresas diferentes (+4 linhas internas da STCP para transporte de pessoal).
Terão uma grande variedade de paisagens, desde a baixa da cidade do Porto, às zonas mais rurais, com arvoredo e campos de trigo e até à costa do Atlântico.
Várias localidades como Ermesinde, Guifões e Águas Santas foram recriadas perto da realidade, sempre com uma pitada de imaginação.

Outras como Prado, Redondelo e Lavouras, foram totalmente inventadas.
Incluidos, estão passageiros que falam português e as linhas das empresas STCP e TUP contam com anúncios de paragens.

I can't play it more than 4 minutes.
Doesn't matter what I try, it's impossible to me to play it. I looked for errors on the logfile and nothing seems to be wrong. No missing objects, no missing splines, everything has been installed as the readme says.
OMSI just freezes without warning. No Fehler bereichsprüfung, no nothing.
I load the map and then spawn the bus and in about 3 or 4 minutes OMSI freezes and I have to kill the process with the taskbar admin.

I edited the Ailist of the map and observed that there is an issue about Porto MAN CNG 233 & 313 skins.

When I pick the bus for myself, skins work without an issue but when I see an AI bus with same skin it is just white.

Not all timetables work for example the line 2M has no week/days to start a route

  The lines with a 'M' suffix only work from around 0 AM to 5-6 AM. In fact, the M means morning, in Portuguese.

I am not allowed to use all of the routes that this map is suppose to come with, i put the destination and route number correctly and it says that it is invalid. Can any1 help.

Hi all, I see blue sky only after loading into the map. However, Blue Sky Tool shows there is no missing objects and splines. Appreciate it if anyone can help on this issue.

  It is semi fictional. Most of it is realistic, but there are some places that are either partially made up (most blatant example is the Spanish village of A Porreira) or are not located where they are in real life (like Lavouras or Prado, for example).
  
  However, i would say 70-80% of the map is accurate, maybe not at a 1:1 scale, but the general areas are where they should be. Specially the areas around downtown Porto like Aliados, Cordoaria, Bolhao, Marqués, etc. You could realistically take a plane to Porto, get the 601 bus and end up in Cordoaria just like in OMSI. Altough i doubt it would be the most time efficient way

I downloaded everything but I have still problems and can only see the sky.
I need help from someone pls I am not a pro at installing maps on Omsi 2 but I still downloaded everything and looked at some tutorials. Still not working

And I tried download the 2021 version I have the same problem there.
I really want to play this map I am so excited.

I install the map completely according to the instructions, tried even on a completely empty OMSI 2 build

Hello, this is an utterly fantastic map, however I have noticed an issue in the AI-List - under the group 'STCP Nada' the directory is incorrect so the vehicles will fail to spawn which spams the logfile with error messages. The correct directory is Vehicles\MAN_NL_NG\MAN_EN92_main.bus but this group has been set to Vehicles\MAN_NG\MAN_EN92_main.bus

Furthermore, I have noticed minor timetable issues in the editor with some trips being scheduled in the wrong order and some not being timetabled correctly at all. Service TP4 hasn't been revised since the new direct routing so you end up extremely early.

With how large the map is, I cannot complain. Performance isn't optimal in some areas but otherwise highly enjoyable. I do hope you can keep these issues in mind though.

I have the map plus all fixes. Unfortunately, there is a problem - no further part of the map. I had this when taking line 503 towards Gatoes and on line 601 going from Aeroporto towards Cordoaria
There is nothing missing from the map.
What can I do so that no part of the map is missing?

Hello, i have a little trouble, my PC it's not good at all, but i run OMSI 2 with some lower graph config, i wanna make the same thing with this map, but i can't get it, it so big and my PC run's the map to 10 or 15 FPS, i run other maps around 30/40 FPS, obviusly that maps are more little, my question is, i can get a little advice please, i don't wanna hit that 30/40 FPS i know it's impossible on this game. but 20 or 25 is a pretty number......

Sorry me again. OMSI Vimeca’s Great bus O500CLE has errors in the script for the IBIS from Chrizzly and the cockpit.osc

Basically missing or incorrect variables in the IBIS_varlist and cockpit_varlist could a message be put to the dev as it causes errors with OMSI - TUV errors

I just tried this map 2022 with line 27. Somehow dont work anouncements for some lines, because for example line 27 has another names than names of anouncements

Hello, even though I have installed all the patches, every time I drive the 507 road Agua viva station, I always lose the plot of the road ahead. Even after checking with map tool there is no any problem. Please how can I solve it.

A giant.
Performance is a given and I refuse to dumb down settings. Loads of custom objects, you have to use your imagination when playing this and look past the German (default) objects and see the overall picture. It would help to have objects that are very light but the way the map is built, you would need to spend even longer placing objects you wouldn’t need to be back of, but a lot of the routes overlap, go behind and under buildings, also a lot of detailed spline work as well, which adds to the poly count.

I hope maps like this encourage those who are working on adding improvements to OMSI (Power tools etc…) to take a long hard look at improving the actual loading process for OMSI and aim to step up their efforts, too much is being made of sub par quality.

Custom AI List, well you’re probably running a military grade PC because even my super workhorse struggles.

Great work by BrunoAlex. Payware devs need to fix up.

Une map incroyable dotée de 94 lignes jouables, vous en aurez pour tout les gouts : urbain, interurbain, autoroute, lignes aéroports, lignes express, le tout dans des durées de 10 a 80 min !!!!, avec une map hyper bien décorée ! (même si bcp d'éléments de la map Spandau sont présents, ca passe sans problèmes sur la map) ya même des lignes de tram !!!!

Les lignes proposent de tout : larges avenues, rues étroites, autoroutes, grandes gares routières, plusieurs dépots, de nombreuses entreprises/sous-traitants, .... .....

La map aurait été un DLC, je pense que je l'aurais probablement acheté sans regrets, tant elle est de grande qualité

Le seul défaut de la map est qu'elle demande un bon pc (ce qui est assez logique au vu de sa taille, et du nombre d'objets utilisés)

La map est a ma connaissance, la plus grande map de Omsi 2, elle dépasse des maps comme Metropole Ruhr( +- 50 lignes), ou Gladbeck (+- 50 lignes)

Les 50 000 téléchargements en 15 jours sont la preuve que c'est une map est un must have a posséder, il s'agit probablement de la meilleure map gratuite.

An incredible map, with 94 playables lines !!!! (highways, airport shuttles, city lines, express lines, ...) beetween 10 min to 80 min duration !!!!!, and a really good detailled map (but his have lot of objects from berlin spandau, but they fit in really well, and that's no problem) There are even tram lines!

The lines offer everything: wide avenues, narrow streets, motorways, large bus stations, lot of busgarages, Several companies and subcontractors,....

If this map had been DLC, I think I would have bought it.

To my knowledge, this is the largest map in Omsi 2, surpassing maps such as Metropole Ruhr( +- 50 lines), or Gladbeck (+- 50 lines).

the only real issue with the map, is the optimisation, a good pc are required (But that's normal, it's gigantic and it's very complicated to achieve perfect fluidity with lot of objets)

All in all a good map but.. you must have a good pc to run this map (Playable>Ejoyable) very heavy map but very fun good diversity of lines from short to long trips
maybe timetables at stops would be nice i can't realy say bad about it besides its very heavy.

It is hard to imagine just how much work went into this map, which has 94 lines, over 1,200 tiles. But that in itself is part of the problem with this map. It is too ambitious. Far too large. OMSI is not - and has never been - a stable platform. Among the wonderful custom Portuguese objects, there are ugly default Spandau German shops (with their signs in German - out of place). The map is vast, with many custom objects, but the level of detail in parts is very shallow. The beach areas are great. But inland, away from the beaches, in the towns and villages, it's often bland and full of default Spandau objects. The road layouts are fantastic; unique and original.

But none of this is the real problem with this Porto map. The real problem is performance. There are some hugely polygon-heavy, non-optimized objects and, most of the time, the map is one long experience of constant stutters. It is the most stuttery map I have ever driven in OMSI. There are short stutters, long (5secs+) stuters. It's just constant. Bear in mind I have a powerful PC, a well-optimized instalation (I've been using OMsi for 12 years) and sensible settings.

I think the map builders should spend less time expanding the map and adding routes, and more time replacing German Spandau objects, adding detail, and fixing or replacing the poorly optimized objects that are bringing the map's performance to it's knees. With that in mind, this map did not stay on my hard drive. But I do admire the amount of wwork that has been invested. The effort just needs to be targeted more effectively.

Die Map hat solche detailliebe und realismunähe, dass es als Payware verkauft werden könne (wie GPM). Allein von der Größe her dürfte die Map mehr beinhalten als Ruhr und übertrifft manche Payware Karten (Ruhr, Wuppertal, Düsseldorf, Köln...) Meilenweit. Die Karte kann an ein Geschenk an die community gesehen werden. Die Installation möge zwar groß sein, aber du bekommst wirklich für jeden Kilobyte Payware-Qualität. Ich hoffe mehr Leute bauen Karten Wie du.

The map has such detail and realism that it could be sold as payware (like GPM). Just from the size alone, the map should contain more than Ruhr and surpasses some payware maps (Ruhr, Wuppertal, Düsseldorf, Cologne...) miles. The map can be seen as a gift to the community. The installation may be big, but you really get payware quality for every kilobyte. I hope more people build maps like you.
