A package of realistic repaints of Warsaw's Ikarus 400 series, which ran linearly between 1995 and 2009.

In 1993/94, Hungarian bus manufacturer Ikarus decided to expand its 400 series with new models. In a flurry of ever-lower buses, fully low-floor models numbered 411 (12-meter) and 417 (18-meter) were introduced. There were already thousands of Ikarus 260 series and 280 series buses with various submodels in Poland as well as Warsaw itself, so it's not surprising that the capital became interested in the new invention.

A total of four vehicles were purchased in 1995: 2 models 411.08 (numbered #6550 and #6551) and 2 models 417.08 (#7550, #7551). The vehicles may have been modern but they were VERY, BUT VERY FAILING. After all, the production of the new series was only in the implementation phase, which, struggling with financial problems, did not come easily to the Hungarian company. Three of the four models were shelved in 2006 due to constant failures and crossed off the depot's inventory, and (for lack of willing buyers) were subsequently scrapped around 2009.

Only model 411.08, numbered #6550/#6530, was purchased in 2009 by the Warsaw association called Klub Miłośników Komunikacji Miejskiej (Municipal Transportation Enthusiasts Club). A year later, in July 2010, its restoration was finished and thus it got yellow (antique) plates. One more cosmetic restoration took place in 2017 (and this vehicle can be seen on the thumbnail). By the way, it is one of SIX models in the world. :)

The package contains several variations of these four models. Here is their full list:

  • 411.08 | #6550/#6530
6550 - first version from 1995 (old plates)
    6550 - version from 1996-1997 (old plates)

    6550 - version from 2002 (old plates)
6530 - version from 2004 (he got a new number in 2003 due to change of home depot) (new plates)
6550 - version from 2009-2010 (with test plates (after buyout by KMKM)) (test plates)
6550 - version from 2017 (second-to-last version of this model with additional veneers (nowadays does not have them) (antique plates)
    -
  • 411.08 | #6551/#6531
6531 - one repaint dated 1991, later in 2003 this model got the number 6531 (same as 6550->6531) (new plates)
    -
  • 417.08 | #7550/#7530
7530 - originally the bus was numbered 7550, in 2003 after the change of the depot it got the number 7530 (new plates)
    -
  • 417.08 | #7551/#7531
7531 - just like the above model (new plates)

Of course, it is also worth mentioning the modest, but significant help from AWW (Webdisk EuroPL), which made new bakes thanks to which all skins look much better. Thanks for the help. :)

The buses have custom registrations - before placing the model, press the spacebar so that the original Polish registration does not appear. Thanks ;)
