This bus was produced in 2003 for the São Paulo city fleet. They were the first Hybrid Bus with 2 front steering axles.
They arrived in 2004 at the Marta Suplicy management, in a batch with 15 units, being part of the public fleet and were lent
to Gatusa to work on the 5300 line. The original color was silver to indicate that it was in a neutral area.
They were the first Gran Viale buses in São Paulo.
They were very advanced for their time, with air conditioning, camera system, total low floor and
Flip Dot internal and external matrix.
In 2007, shortly after the inauguration of Expresso Tiradentes, 14 of them were assigned to Via Sul and the last, 7 6905
was reserved for tests of the SGM project (Magnetic Guidance System) which would guide the bus in the
Tiradentes Express without the driver using magnets, and was never painted in the green pattern of area 5.
The project did not work and the bus was prematurely retired due to serious mechanical problems, but it was saved for
the future transport museum of São Paulo.
After some time the unit 5 3908 spontaneously caught fire, after that the drivers started to be more careful when driving these vehicles, but some time later another unit also had a fire.
In 2013 they were retired because of their expensive maintenance due to imported parts and they constantly had problems,
and were replaced by the first 15 Millennium BRT O500UDA with air conditioning from Via Sul.
Almost all of them were dismantled, and only that of the SGM tests in the Santa Rita yard of the CMTC is still complete.
The chassis had very rare parts in Brazil, such as Rába's traction axle (which was only seen on other Tutto chassis) and Navistar International engines.

Didn't know that Hungary supported those buses with parts.

Yes, TuttoTrasporti had a partnership with rába which supplied axles and some other parts, but this partnership just produced this commercial bus and some prototypes.
