Enjoy OMSI's First Singaporean bus to be uploaded in the Webdisk!

Yes.

Originally this bus was a AI Bus by another guy (Name in Readme) and im improving the quality of the bus.

This bus is rather feels incomplete but more detailing to come!

The Volvo B10M-60 Mark IV is a mid-engined single-deck city bus built by Volvo Buses, as part of the B10M line of bus chassis. Commonly referred to as the “Mark 4”, it is the successor of the Volvo B58. The popular chassis also entered service around the world, notably in the United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore over multiple variants.

Singapore Bus Service (SBS) acquired 475 of such buses between 1994 and 1997, with four different variants of bodywork, namely the PSV, Duple Metsec, Walter Alexander ‘Strider’ and Duple Metsec ‘DM3500’. This description concerns the last variant procured by SBS – the Duple Metsec DM3500.

Design:

The Volvo B10M chassis was manufactured by Volvo between 1978 and 2003 as the successor of the Volvo B58. Initially offered as a coach chassis, it was later also offered as a city bus. Both variants of the chassis were very popular.

The main design feature is the horizontally mounted 9.6-litre Volvo diesel engine just behind the front axles. Chassis were sold in a variety of wheelbase lengths, and both tri-axle and articulated (B10MA) variant were also produced.

LHD and RHD versions will be created for 100% Compatability with maps

  • Could you make Volvo B7 series?

  • You should've made this bus for LEFT HAND DRIVE like (most/all) Hong Kong Buses made for OMSI 2 such as the ADL Enviro500 MMC or UK spec. buses such as V3D Studio's ADL E200 MMC because right now it looks like a hastily made port of a vehicle from Midtown Madness 2 (MM2) released back in ~2004 which is not a very good look...

    • Well...

I choose to put doors on the right is because... I want to work on only 1 vehicle. Most maps in OMSI uses Right Hand Side traffic. And the Webdisk is more for the Europeans who drive on Right hand side... yeah.

The reason why it looks like a port of a vehicle from MM2 is because, I have no experience in 3d Modelling at all. This means that... it looks very low poly. Also the bus originally was only a AI Bus.

Both LHD and RHD versions will be made in the future!

    • ah okay thanks for the info. If you plan on adding a farebox then I suggest that you directly take the scripts and models, textures etc. out of one of the Hong Kong Buses such as the ADL Enviro500 MMC, not sure what the copyright on these vehicles though; http://www.winsomes3dstudio.co…omsi_downloade500mmc.html This link is for a copy of the ADL E500MMC which I would suggest that you use as a base for this vehicle; there is also a version of the Dennis Dart with Duple Metsec body made by some guy in Hong Kong found here: https://gx7767.wixsite.com/studio/kmb-dart which would also be a good starting point on making a bus from this time period although the download for this bus has closed so you'd have to ask for a download on some Hong Kong based transport forum somewhere.

Also of note is that OMSI 2 can directly read .x files so there is not really much of a need to export to an o3d file after exporting to a .x file in Blender.

    • Thx for your suggestion.

But take scripts directly from HK buses scripts?

But the thing is, those scripts are not compatible with the ones im using now.

The churakrueger on SBS2779A variant wont work as the HK scripts are more for Rollbands.

The Dennis Dart with Duple Metsec body isnt what im looking for. The bodywork is different.

And of course I know I can just use .x files.
