Turkish low-floor bus coming in 3 variants, using Diesel or CNG, now ready to discover the world of OMSI!

After 1 year of work and testing, the first version of the BMC Procity EU Pack is now released for the public.

_______________________________________________________________

First of all, you may ask yourself.. what is this bus? BMC Procity is a series of buses that has been produced by Turkish manufacturer BMC Otomotiv since 2008. This specific mod resembles the latest generation, which has been in production since 2016.

Nowadays, the bus is available in both 12 and 18 meters, with the option to choose between Diesel and CNG. A 10.6 meter version (Diesel only) was produced as well, until 2022. The buses can be seen operation in many cities from Turkey, as well as in some cities from various European countries, including Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Serbia, and Poland.

Moving back to OMSI, as of now, the pack features:

- 3 variants (10.6 meter Diesel, 12 meter Diesel, 12 meter CNG);

- Functional radio;

- Functional tachograph;

- Setvars and different objects to "customize" your bus;

- A set of repaints, waiting for you to be discovered;

- And others..

More about it on the attached PDF file that's coming with the bus. Informations about setvars, credits and other stuff are also written there.

_______________________________________________________________

Please note that this is the first version of this bus, with updates and additions being planned in the future. Thus, the mod is not completely finished and some things may or may not be subject to change.

!!!PLEASE READ THE USER MANUAL INCLUDED IN THE ARCHIVE BEFORE THE FIRST USE!!!

Instructions related to certain functionalities of the bus are presented there, so that the player can get used with the vehicle commands.

Known issues:

- no sounds during kneeling. Other than that, it's functional;

- exterior sounds are not in their final state;

- possible small gaps in a few places;

Please let me know in the comments section (or in Webdisk PM) if you notice other issues. I also accept criticism as long as it's constructive and I will take any useful suggestions into account to try improving the bus more.

What else should I say? Hope you'll have fun playing with this mod ;)

  • 1.0.1

    HOTFIX FOR IBIS NOT WORKING PROPERLY

    Simply place the "Vehicles" folder into your main OMSI directory and replace the old file!

  • 1.0.0

  • Question, will you ever do the version for AI vehicles of this vehicle, because at present, due to the manual display, when I put this vehicle as AI the display remains off.

  • Ignore this message

  • Hello, I really like the mod, it's well done, but the engine sound has nothing to do with the sound of a real Cummins engine, are you thinking about improving it?

  • Witam. Pozdrawiam

    • Please write your comments in English and not in Polish. The rear display issue was fixed (will be available in the next update) and I'll have a look at hubcaps as well.

    When trying to input the line, it spams the button i press to switch into line, or route thingy

    Video of what is happening

    • And that's why you have a hotfix included in the download section of the bus.. to fix this exact issue.

    • oh god i'm so blind.

      Sorry!

    • @alexredx, now i have another problem, with the temperature.

      Video
      Nothing is in logs (only about ai vehicle not spawning, which should not be doing anything)
      Can you help me? (Downloaded the patch ofc)

  • hello! How can I get the radio folder? I don't have it in the omsi 2 folder and idk how to get the folder called "bass.dll". Can u please help me?

    • Bass.dll is already included in the pack.

  • hello my matrix sign is not working

    • Have you read the manual?

  • Hello, nice work. I have a question, is the Neocity 9 CNG version also planned? thank you in advance for your reply.

    • Hello, Neocity is not planned as of now.

  • good joob!! but I have tried the radio, with the stations that I had and it did not sound, I have tried to put a station myself but it did not work either

    • Please make sure you have placed ALL files (except for the user manual) in OMSI directory. I think it behaves like that because you didn't place bass.dll file in the directory. It is a codec that is necessary if you want the radio to work as it should.

  • The review's title, "Bence BMC!" (Rough translation: I prefer BMC!), is a reference to the BMC Fatih's TV ad in which the Turkish Arabesque singer İbrahim Tatlıses says the phrase couple of times (This one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT4HbjdiYBA)

    For a beta version, this bus is quite driveable. As someone who commutes with the BMC Procity TR (The Turkish model, no big differences btw.) frequently in real life, this particular iteration of the Procity has impressed me in some ways. The engine revs a little a couple of seconds after coming to a complete stop, and the door button responds without delay just like its real life counterpart. Also, the turn indicator and the stop request sounds are realistic.

    So, what about its flaws? The sound of the Cummins ISBe 6.7 is a bit below from being decent but at least it doesn't have the sound of a SCANIA Citywide. I'm not gonna make any comments for the CNG versions 'cause I've never been on one, and we don't have that particular model in Istanbul ;). The retarder sound uses Voith's retarder sound, which the actual has a ZF retarder and it must sound like ZF. The turn indicator's blinking speed is far from its real life counterpart; it is slower, perhaps about 50 or 55 miliseconds. The positioning of the dashboard warning lights are mostly incorrect, some do have incorrect symbols, and has its remnants from the MAN. See this picture for the dashboard warning lights: https://www.instagram.com/p/BooJLMTgXai/. The positioning of the stop brake button on the right side of the driver's panel is incorrect. The one that is able to be pressed in the game is actually the hill assist start button. The stop brake is on the left (The one with the "lightning" symbol). While the board computer has its odometer, trip, current time, and the speed functions, the pressure bars (Air, ECAS, and Oil pressure) are not functional. It also misses the Parking Brake? (Not sure of this one. It says PARK. KOČNI. in Serbian: http://www.autobusi.net/wp-con…city12_GSP_Beograd_38.jpg) bar, positioned between the ECAS pressure and the Oil Pressure bars. The fuel level and the engine temperature indicators' kneedles are not displaying correctly. For instance, the actual fuel level of the bus is %100 but it displays like %25 percent on the dashboard.

    I might have listed so many flaws but these are just minor details that needs to be worked on, and does not have big impact on operation. There is a room for improvement. If these flaws are worked on, I would feel more close to the BMC Procity on OMSI 2. Thanks for sharing, and I'm looking forward for its full release.

  • Bardzo ładny model, czekam na dalszą aktualizację. Model 18m też planujecie zrobić?
