The WebDisk gets a unified set of rules

Rights via copyright

Dear users,

with today our Rulebook will be activated. You can find it in the tab "Info" under the first item and soon also in the Terms of use. The rulebook was created in long work in cooperation with the inspectors and experts and gives an overview of what is to be observed in the WebDisk, what is valid here and what may be undesirable. We pursue the following goals with it:

  1. The rules serve as a reference for all users and as a handout especially for newcomers who are not yet very familiar with our platform.
  2. The rules create Transparency in how and why moderators make decisions.
  3. The rules are intended to ensure that moderators act in a uniform manner.
  4. The set of rules is a central place where all rules are listed. So now you don't have to search the forum or the article system for specific decisions.

At first glance, you will notice that the rulebook is very long. However, it does not only contain the specific rules of WebDisk (e.g. upload conditions), but also general hints about netiquette, which can also be found in other forums. That's why it took so long until we can present the rules to you now. In principle, however, things on WebDisk will continue as you are used to. The known procedures and (until now) unwritten rules will not change much. Rather, we have summarized in writing all that we currently implement.

Soon, the rules will also be added to the Term of use. Wundert euch also nicht, wenn ihr diese erneut akzeptieren müsst. Also, a more condensed set of rules will be posted in the Discord in the next few days.

Feedback and questions can be sent to us at any time, either privately via the known channels or in this thread.

Best regards

James

on behalf of the WebDisk team.
