Many of you have wished to have a separate thread for updates (without comments) for larger projects, so that they do not get lost in the comments. We hereby introduce such an area, the developer blog in the AddOn section:
This section serves as an optional addition to the comment thread in the "WIP - in development category"". Here you can create a separate thread for your projects, in which only you can post answers, e.g. updates or announcements. The following guidelines apply (as of 29th September 2022)::
- A previously created discussion thread in the WIP forum is mandatory! There is an input field in the topic form where you can insert the link. If you want to create both threads at the same time, first create the discussion thread with a note, then the presentation thread. As a third step, you can then link the presentation thread.
- This forum is primarily intended for larger projects with a lot of need for discussion (maps, buses, larger mod and software projects). There is no place for repaints or other small projects.
- Each person may only create a new topic every 14 days. This is to ensure that the forum is not clogged with projects that have been started and not finished.
- We generally recommend that you do not show an update every few days, but when there is something new to see. This can sometimes be a week, but sometimes also a month - depending on the progress of development.
- For payware developers, there is still the forum Presentation of Commercial Projects.
The forum can be used without any obligation to register, and we admins do not carry out any quality/content control. We therefore appeal to your personal responsibility that these rules work. Threads that do not comply with these guidelines can be checked by us as usual via the reporting function and deleted if necessary.
