After snowfall in some regions over the last few days, we are ringing in the festive season on WebDisk. The Advent calendar will take place again this year, accompanied by competitions.
New addition to the team
First of all, a note on our own behalf: Since Lµkas will be leaving for private reasons as of February 2023, Staaken79 will strengthen the team from now on as an administrator. He will help behind the scenes with the Advent Calendar and will be introduced to his new tasks in the following weeks. Details will follow.
The Advent calendar with community content
From 1 December until Christmas Eve, there will be a door to open every day with a download hidden behind it - everything that makes OMSI hearts beat faster is there - repaint packs, bus mods and even complete maps. Numerous developers have participated, and we would like to express our gratitude to them. A very special thank you goes to Schleswig-Holstein, who coordinated the Community Advent Calendar.
The following instructions must be observed:
- Unlike conventional (chocolate) advent calendars, you cannot open the doors retroactively if you have forgotten a day.
- Already opened doors can be viewed again at any time until 31 December, after which access is no longer possible. So save your downloads and keys locally!
- The participating developers are not obliged to make their material available separately in the filebase after the end of the Advent calendar. However, many developers have already indicated that they will do so. From 25 December onwards, you will gradually find the entries under the label "Advent calendar 2022". So don't be sad if you forget to open a door
The complete rules will be linked separately as soon as they are available. You will find the advent calendar from 1 December onwards at the top of the homepage (mobile) or in the top right-hand corner (desktop).
The competitions with prizes from AEROSOFT and HALYCON
The Advent calendar is accompanied by keys that randomly appear when doors are opened. AEROSOFT and HALYCON are supporting us again this year. Potentially there is something on every day - so stay alert and open a door every day!
We are already starting the competition for the 1st Sunday of Advent on 27 November. On this day, you will find a box on the homepage where you can enter. The Advent calendar will then start on 1 December.
The rules for the competitions will also be linked separately as soon as the time comes. Please also note that each person may only participate in the promotions with one WebDisk account. The administration will pay special attention to double accounts during this period and sanction them.
Further notes
Please note the following during the actions:
- Keep your email address up to date! Otherwise we will not be able to send you any information & announcements and will block your account according to the rules.
- Do not create double accounts! Please contact the team instead for account problems!
- Multiple participation in a competition with double accounts will result in a lifetime ban and possibly criminal charges for fraud.
- Does not use a VPN or public WLAN networks in the WebDisk.
