Dear User,
The Advent/Christmas campaigns were very successful for the community. In numbers:
- There were a total of 94 different doors to be able to open.
- There were 40 prizes to be won - from discount coupons to entire AddOns. Among the winners were again a lot of active users.
- In total there were 29 free gifts from the community of 26 authors.
- The doors were opened on average by 1670 registered participants. Last year, there was an average of only 1420 users. We do not record unregistered door openers.
Fraud attempts through double accounts
Unfortunately, there have been users again this year who have tried to participate in the promotions more than once by using double accounts in order to increase their chance of winning. Due to the large banners we have recently, we do not assume that it happens by mistake. In this case we do not hesitate for a long time, but block corresponding users promptly and withdraw the further possibility to win at the advent calendar.
Leaks and Hate
Unfortunately, last year there were leaks and spoilers of some doors by individual users. Through various measures we were able to successfully prevent this this year!
We are very happy that this year everything went smoothly, especially in this respect.
Webdisk Crash
In spite of all measures taken, our fear unfortunately came true that on 24.12. with the publication of the last door the WebDisk went down due to the high rush and was temporarily no longer available.
We apologize for this.
