A verify the integrity of the game cache on the other hand, often causes other problems (see below).
Save your modified Addon files, as these will be put back to default after reinstall. Repaints are not affected as long as the included Repaints of a DLC have not been modified.
These are instructions to help you with the reinstall.
First open Steam and select OMSI 2 in your library. On the right side go to DLC ---> Manage my x DLC.
Then a popup will open. There you will find all your DLCs.
Look for the Addon you want to deinstall and simply uncheck the checkmark on the right. Steam will now automatically deinstall the DLC.
When checking the checkmark again, the Addon will be reinstalled.
Alternative
In your Steam library select OMSI 2 and click Properties.
Under DLC you will find a list of all your owned DLCs.
Just deselect (remove the checkmark) the corresponding Addon and Steam will automatically deinstall it.
Simply re-check it to reinstall it.

Right click OMSI 2 in your Steam library and select Properties.
Under LOCAL FILES click Verify integrity of game files
Please remember that this will verify all the files in the OMSI 2 main directory. Every modified file will be put back to its orignal state. All Mods whatsoever will be overwritten!
