Throttle control with keyboard

    Hello, I have this idea in my mind for a very long time but I can't find the solution. Maybe someone here could help me.

    So you all know how the brake control works on a keyboard: you hit the Num2 and after you release it the brake value stays on until you press Num8 or Num+.

    I always wanted that the throttle control would be working the same way. Because right now if you push Num8 and release it the gas instantly goes to zero and I want it to stay on constant value.

    I know you can reach this result by using controller with pedals or mouse mode but how to make it work on keyboard mode?

    Please let me know if my question is not totally understandable.

    so as far as i am capable of understanding what you wanna do, you are just looking for a "cruise control" - "tempomat"?


    Maybe if you are capable of writing your own scripts you could write a tool to keep the adjustet throttle at the point where you let go of the keyboard button. But that would still increase the speed of the bus because it would keep the pedal still down. Ever considerd to drive with mouse?
