  • Hello.

I recently bought the City & Regionbus 200 Series DLC and wanted to repaint one of the buses, but after finding out how the layers are set and the manual having little to no help on how to use the template properly, i was completely confused and stuck on how to do this. Because i use paint.net i was wondering if: do i have to use a specific blend mode? do i have to create a layer below or above a specific layer in the template? do i need to just not make a repaint of the bus??

I've seen various people already make liveries of said bus and publish it on the webdisk, but i am having a hard time trying to figure out how, so all help will be appreciated :)

    Hello,

I also use Paint.net so here how I do a repaint for a S215H (also it's the same for the other busses of the DLC).

First, I go to the layer named " S_215H_Body_0008_S_215H_Body_Repaint: Фон " and there I use the paint bucket with the colour white on the body of the bus (because the body is too gray for my taste).

Then, I go to the top of the layers selector, I select the layer on the top of the list and I create a new layer. For this layer, I go in the layer properties and I set the blend mode " Overlay ". In this layer I draw white filled shaped rectangle over the bumper and the hubcaps. (You can skip this part if you do not want to repaint over the bumper and hubcaps).

After that, I create a new layer on top of the previous layer. I set the blend mode in Multiply, and it is on this layer that I do my repaint.

Once everything is done, I merge the original layers first (be carefull with the visibility selector, you can delete those who are set in invisible) then I merge the layer where I did my repaint. At that point, I am left with two layers (the top with the repaint and the bottom one with the template layer merged). I merge both and then I export like it is described in the manual and that it's !

I hope my explanations were clear. ^^'
