I don't have this problem with the missing umlauts. Probably the coding of the map files was changed by something or someone.

Please check the Windows settings under Language and region > Administrative language settings check if the checkbox „Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 to support worldwide languages“ is checked, if so disable and restart PC.

If necessary, the map must be deleted and reinstalled to ensure that the map files are not encoded in UTF8 but in ANSI.

I saved the cobblestone texture as a png instead of bmp accidentally, It works now 🫠
