I noticed that pressing the "up" arrow on the announcement device can announce the stop , but this means I have to manually press it for each stop, which is quite inconvenient. From what I've read, is your issue/problem that the announcements are only automatic and that you wish to have them be manual?
I don't think that is possible with the default Printer/IBIS System that it comes with
