They were bought by the São Paulo's city government in 1994, one year after CMTC's extinction. They were used in the city's north zone and some years later also on the east zone.

Some units were registered as O371UP buses, but every unit was built on the O400UP chassis, the front wheel hub and the radiator on the right side were very different to O371 ones.

They arrived in a 5-door configuration, with 3 on the right side and 2 on the left for boarding in elevated corridors.

They were used by several companies: Viação Pioneira, Jaraguá, Mar Azul and Nova Paulista during the "municipalizado" system and later Gato Preto and SPbus during the "interligado" system.

These buses fully complied to the Padron bus standard: rubberized floor, rear engine, wide doors, air suspension and very comfortable padded seats.

Some units were also used in some scenes of the 2001 film "Domésticas".

Foram comprados pela prefeitura de São Paulo em 1994, pouco tempo após a extinção da CMTC. Operaram pela zona norte e posteriormente também na zona leste de São Paulo.

Alguns foram registrados como O371UP, mas todos eram O400UP, o cubo de roda dianteiro e o radiador no lado direito indicam isso.

Chegaram na configuração de 5 portas, sendo 3 do lado direito e 2 do lado esquerdo para embarque em corredores elevados.

Operaram por várias empresas: Viação Pioneira, Jaraguá, Mar azul e Nova Paulista na época do sistema municipalizado e posteriormente Gato preto e SPbus pelo sistema interligado.

Tinham os elementos de um ônibus Padron: Piso emborrachado, motor traseiro, portas largas, suspensão a ar e bancos acolchoados bem confortáveis.

Também foram utilizados em algumas cenas do filme "Domésticas" de 2001.
