Mercedes Citaro G Facelift - MTA New York - Pack for Citybus O530 Facelift 1.0

Omsi 2 Romania presents a very special repaint pack: the Mercedes-Benz Citaro G Facelift from MTA New York.

In 2008, Daimler Benz wanted to expand its bus production in the United States, so it loaned two Citaro G buses (0050 and 0051) to the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) in New York so that Americans could test them. After 30 days of testing in Manhattan and the Bronx, the MTA rejected the Citaro, and Mercedes no longer wished to enter the U.S. market.

However, MTA has now decided to opt for European buses, specifically the Solaris Urbino model, which will be manufactured in Emira, New York, by its parent company, CAF.

San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver (Canada) have also chosen the Urbino.

The pack also includes the Citaro G without the "MTA New York" lettering and with a German license plate, as well as the two-door version, both of which were used for testing and demonstrations.

To spawn the Citaro G, select the following:

Citybus by Kajosoft - o530 Facelift G 3d - 457 D854.5

and choose between:

- mta_nyc_test_bus_0050

- mta_nyc_test_bus_0051

or

- MA_LE_254_demonstrator

For the 2-door Citaro, select as follows:

Citybus by Kajosoft - o530 Facelift 2d - 457 D854.5

and choose MA_PU_550_demonstrator

To install, extract the contents of the archive into the root folder of OMSI 2.
