- New UI: More spaced out, more reworked and less "messy
- Toolbox: Useful links to the NTCore site (4GB Patch)
- Simple installation: The script to be placed in the OMSI folder is already pre-configured, you just have to drag the OMSI 2 folder to the root of your steamapps/common folder.

Hi! Is there a way to actually know if it's working? I edited the cmd that goes on the desktop, but I don't see anything suggesting it works, the game launches as normal. Or is there a proper way of editing the cmd to direct it to the game's folder? I typed its location the way it shows it anywhere right underneath the "LINK TO OMSI FOLDER" line

Hi, you need to drag the IXL2.cmd script into your OMSI folder.
Then, on the part of the shortcut to be configured, you need to configure the following line: cd FOLDERLINK, replacing the "FOLDERLINK" with the link to your OMSI folder, for example: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\OMSI 2.
Once configured, the line should look like this:
cd D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\OMSI 2

Thank you! At first like an idiot I replaced the "cd" with the letter assigned to my drive, in my case E. Definitely makes more sense now
Seems to work, could see how OMSI was loading a bit differently, and my bus spawned at blazing fast speeds. I'll try to run by demanding parts of Ahlheim, the map I'm currently playing on since a while, to see if there is significant changes compared to before. I still expect to need to run the neighboring tiles setting at 1 on that map.
What exactly do you mean by "higher affinity"? I saw that also within the script. Since Windows already makes every core available to the game by default, I wonder. I tried fiddling around with this before with mixed results, depending on which cores I made available to OMSI.

By higher affinity, this concerns CPU priority via the task manager. However, if your OMSI is installed on an external drive (your E: drive), the function may not be activated due to the limitations of Windows, which has enormous difficulty with software (or games) installed on a secondary drive.

Well I don't know if it works to its full potential on an external drive, but it does work. The bus I chose isn't light, the MAN A21 by V3D, and it loaded and spawned in a second or two, usually takes around 5 seconds no matter which bus I take. And I also always had crazy lags when typing a license plate, that lag was completely gone with your command inside the game.
I also believe gameplay was a bit smoother overall, but I didn't go to certain more demanding parts of the map. Derenhofen and Laurenzbach are both sectors that for some reason seems to give trouble to my game, much more than the city of Ahlheim itself. I'll see tonight how they fare with IXL2

Reporting back from two trips on Ahlheim & Laurenzbach Updated on a line that mostly goes through the major parts of every sectors. Used the MAN New Lion's City on both, quite a heavy bus on resources. Glad to be able to say that there was a noticeable difference with your script. Obviously it's still OMSI, so it's far from perfection, with still some stutter and the freeze when loading textures and all, but it's a LOT more acceptable than it was before when going through the demanding parts of the map. I even bumped up the traffic values and the distance for objects to spawn a bit on my second trip, with minimal impact. Really neat little tool here, and a must have even with a good system at hand (i5 11400H and RTX 3060, nothing crazy but still very good). Thank you very much!
Maybe I'll try to make a comparison video showcasing how the game runs and loads specific stuff with and without your script, along with how it affects the hardware. More OMSI players need to know about this

Nice Tool, Thanks!

Hi, I want to thank you for your feedback
Textman
Hallo,
it would be nice if the program had a user interface.

Putting a UI on batch is quite difficult, I'm thinking of releasing an exe version (and no longer in cmd/bat format) with a UI and the ability to enable / disable functions.
