  • 1. Which programme do you have a problem with? (Main application, editor, SDK tools, etc.)

    >Main application

    2. Please describe the problem in as much detail as possible. What happened or what might have led to the error?

    >Hello. I'm having a strange texture issue in OMSI 2 and I could use some advice. On certain maps (Städtedreieck 21 V2, Städtedreieck 21 and most recently olso on Ahlheim & Laurenzbach Updated) I'm getting white/black, grass/road textures - but only at certain times. The bug doesn't always happen in the same spot, sometimes it starts right when I load the map, other times it shows up in the middle of the drive and rarely, the whole run is perfectly fine. Someone mentioned it could be caused by my 2k resolution, but I tested in 1080p as well and the problem still happens. What's weird is that on my old PC (which was weaker), I never had this issue - it's only started now on a better system with a newer CPU/GPU and drivers fully updated. Also worth mentioning: I've checked the map files, and there are no missing sceneryobjects or textures reported, also the 4GB Patch is installed. In addition, the problem only appears in places with fewer houses/cars and details (at least for now). Settings are exactly the same as they were on the old PC, the only change being the Number of Tiles (from 1 to 2) and the number of Humans/ Cars (from 120 to 150 and respectively 200). If there is need of more information/details let me know.

    3. Please add a log file to your post, either in a spoiler, code block or as a file attachment.

    4. If there is a helpful screenshot of the problem, you can upload and include it as a post attachment.

    5. Provide your system information if it is a performance problem. (Operating system, processor, graphics card, hard disk type, memory, etc.)

    >Operation System: Windows 11 Version 24H2
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 5 245 KF
Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti
    Memory: 32GB

It reminds me of a similar problem I had.

Open the Global.cfg file of the map that u c bad textures around,.

Search for [groundtex], and check every prompt of it - c if the file mentioned is really in the proper place.

    For example:

    [groundtex]

    Texture\forest0.bmp

    Texture\gras_det.bmp

(taken from [Cayuga, USA REFRESHED (version 1.0)] in which I had this problem)

Look to c if the files are really in the drive, in the proper directory.

If you don't, find it and copy it to the right place.

10x again for the user that explained it to me... I'll try to find his name

I fixed many textures in many maps this way.

  • Thanks for your help — the tip you gave me about checking the Global.cfg for missing ground textures worked perfectly, and it solved the white texture issue I was having.

However, I discovered how the problem from photo 3 has appeared and has nothing to do with the map itself (I think). When I drive the DLC City & Regiobus 200 Series, everything looks fine — until I open the front door. As soon as I do that, the road textures suddenly turn into a weird placeholder-looking pattern. This only happens on most of the maps i checked, one of them being Grundolf, it only happens with that specific bus. Other buses work just fine.

It’s a really odd issue, so I’m still trying to figure out what’s causing it, but I thought I’d let you know in case you've ever seen something similar. Thanks again for the help, I really appreciate it!
