KamaBus #9955, the 1983 Mercedes-Benz O 307 with rollsigns, has now been called for action in Alto da Boa Viagem's line 9374. A line with its own challenges, although crossing some interesting towns (e.g, Vila Rica), villages (e.g., Gavião) and small places (e.g, Abegoaria). A line that does great with the manual transmission (GO 190) equipped bus.
The line starts at Porto Alto's school, located near the town border and in the EN118 road. This is the southbound terminus of the line, serving this important school that serves students from Castanheira and Gavião.
Switching from the EN118, to the main road of Porto Alto, EN10. Here, #9955 picks more passengers that will go to points beyond Porto Alto, including the terminus of S. José de Musashi.
The village of Gavião is also served by this line. Although it has to invert in the backstreets after the post station, then it inverts towards EN114, the road used to access the village.
After Poços Novos, the EN114 road leads us to Vila Rica, including to the small train station serving the town. It crosses the bridge that serves the Tejo river. #9955 is here doing 60 km/h towards the Apeadeiro, before cutting the speed to half to cross a railroad crossing.
Vila Rica is a bustling town served by the line 9374 and has the EN114 as the main road of access. Many people decide to leave here, or on the Universidade do Ribatejo stop nearby. Then, gets into towards Benfica, another town, using the same EN114.
The line 9374, and KamaBus #9955 here, exists momentarily the EN114 road to serve S. Brás do Caniço. Then, after serving the industrial zone, moves towards Vale de Faias, a village served by the line in its edge, although it is inside EN114, it has a 4-lane road configuration.
The small place of Abegoaria is the first stop of the line 9374 after this line leaves EN114. In the EN114-8 variant is where the place seats, between Vale de Faias and São José de Musashi. #9955 stops here to drop off passengers.
We reached São José de Musashi, but there's two more stops before it ends on the railroad station that serves the Linha do Leste that goes to points towards Elvas (in Alentejo) and Badajoz (in Spain). Before serving the station, #9955 passes through the stadium and sports complex of the Musashiense Futebol Clube.
After finishing the service at the railroad station of São José de Musashi, KamaBus #9955 heads towards the MTB North depot of São José de Musashi (called Garagem de S. José de Musashi). The O 307 bus waits patiently for the next assignment.
