    Hallo Karim,

    FEHLENDE OBJEKTE.pdf

    Hi Karim,

This looks to be a very nice map, but unfortunately I am unable to experience it. Even after downloading all the items linked in the pdf-file, I am still missing a lot of stuff. Can you help me find them, please? (List attatched).

Many thanks for any assistance you can offer!

    MISSING OBJECTS.pdf

    Hi Alexander!

Success (at last)! :) Pleased to report that all versions of the Sprinter are now up and working as you intended. It took three attempts at re-installing the Sprinter files (don't ask :/), but it worked in the end. Thank you so much for your patience and help with this. Your mod adds a whole new dimension to OMSI.

I'm hoping to teach myself how to do repaints, and would like to add your mod to any that I create. Would that be OK with you?

One last question ... can you advise me as to which files/folders control the flash-rate of the blue/yellow front grille lights? I'm not sure if these are strobe lights in Germany, but here in the UK they definately are, and they pulsate much faster than in your mod. Also, they mostly flash in sequence, left/right, rather than flashing together, as in the mod. Again, if it's OK with you, I'd like to try altering the values to make these strobe faster (assuming that this can be done, of course).

    Best regards,

    Andy (a.k.a., Biffer)

Do you mean the lights don't light up? Strangely, the logfile doesn't really say anything helpful and the warnings and errors aren't directly connected to your described issue. Maybe try installing the mod on a freshly reinstalled Sprinter?

    Thanks, again, Alexander,

Yes, that's exactly the problem: the roof-mounted lights are in the correct place, and so are the switches to control them. However, since the control switches do not work, the llights cannot be switched on. To be clear, I don't mean that the switches work, but the lights don't light up. I mean, the switches are totally inert and don't even react to the mouse cursor.

I'll try your suggestion of a fresh reinstall of the Sprinter. Question: is there a specific model or download site that you would recommend? I can't remember where I found it, but the Sprinter I use was upgraded/modified by a member on here called Worfi.

Thanks, Alexander. I've made progress (of a kind). I corrected the error in the script file, and yes, there was a numbering mistake in the .bus file of the Maintenance version. Having done that, the result is that both the Maintenance and Emergency versions now have their yellow or blue lights in the correct places and both vehicles can now be driven as normal. That said, however, the yellow/blue lights do not function, even though the graphic for the switches is showing correctly on the Sprinter's dash. I'll attach the logfile and the Sprinter folder from OMSI\Vehicles, if you care to have a look at them. Whatever the problem is, I'm too close to success to give up now, ha!

Some things I've noticed in the instructions:-

Step 7c (Emergency Version) and Step 6b (Maintenance Version): It says to change the path below [MODEL] to 'model_MB_312D ... ', but in the screenshot, it shows the highlighted text as, 'model\model_MB_312D ... '. Of course, the correct method is to use the word 'model' twice, but this did cause some confusion first time round.

Step 6 (Maintenance Version): It says to open the MB_312D_sd_FW.bus file and rename to MB_312D_sd_WW.bus. I thought this might be a typo and instead renamed a copy of MB_312d_sd_.bus to MB_312D_sd_WW.bus, to keep the procedure consistent with the Emergency version. Is this where I went wrong :/ ???

Thanks again for your help on this. It's appreciated

    logfile.txt

    MB_312D_sd_FW.bus

    MB_312D_sd_WW.bus

    Hi Alexander,

Since my last post I've tried several times to install the MB Sprinter mod, starting from Step 1, but with limited success. Here's where I am with it:-

Emergency Versions: Models show up OK, but with blue-light unit placed under the vehicle. No steering-wheel, no electrics and no motor-start. Cannot be driven.

Maintenance Versions: Models show up OK, with amber/yellow light units in correct place, but not working. Model electrics and motor-start OK. Drives OK.

If you get a chance, can you please look at the logfile and perhaps see where I'm going wrong?

    Many thanks!

    PS

Error Messages for the Sprinter begin at LIne 413.

    logfile.txt

Biffer It seems like you have misspelled "Daueranimation". In your "man_NG313_main_3_FW.osc" it says "(S.L.Deuranimation)" instead. That would be step #4.

I have designed the pdfs in a way you can simply mark and copy the text in grey boxes.

Thanks, Alexander. Originally, I used FoxIt Reader to open the files, but this didn't allow me to cut-and-paste the text in those grey boxes. So, I had to copy all the text by hand. No wonder there were spelling mistakes, ha! I have now switched to Adobe Reader, which does allow copy-and-paste. Happy to say that the MAN bus is now working perfectly :). Unfortunately, I still have problems with the MB Sprinter :(, but I'll work on those later today, if I get time, and let you know how it goes.

    Thanks again!

Like the original poster, I have followed the installation instructions as carefully as I can, but have still encountered problems. I have tried modifying the MB Sprinter 12D and the MAN NL NG 263. Both models show the blue-lights underneath the vehicles (see screenshots), and both cannot be driven because the electrics and motor start will not function. In addition, the steering-wheel in the Sprinter does not show up.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can decipher the log-file and suggest a solution to the problems.

Thanks very much for the 'heads-up' on opening .ams files. All fixed now! For some reason (it's OMSI ... do we need a reason?) the file was opening with Notepad, but with an .ams extension name. Once I learned how easy it was to rename an .ams-file to a .zip-file, it opened correctly using WinRAR. Say what you like about OMSI, but it never stops springing surprises :):S

    Willem1974

Thanks for all your help, Willem. I don't think I was explaining the problem very well, but as you can see from above, it's fixed now.

    Hi,

The map looks great in pictures. Unfortunately, I'm still missing one object:

    Sceneryobjects\Additional Traffic Signs\ATS_standard_small_1.sco

All the attempts I've made to download from the web have failed, either because of broken links, or because the file is no longer available. Can anyone help with this missing object ??? :/

    Many thanks!

TobiB Der ist im Objectpool enthalten in den angedeuteten Ordner, gerade noch mal kontroliert. In dein Archiv ist sie auch richtig hinterlegt. Da denke ich das der Biffer beim Kopieren einen Fehler gemacht hat.

    Hi Willem,

Sorry, but no - I was very careful in reproducing the file name exactly as MapTools reported it. Just think of it as yet one more mystery in the black-art of OMSI :/:)

Many thanks, Tobi. It's working fine now. I'll leave a revue on here. :)

    Hi Tobias,

First of all, many thanks for creating Niederberg, and making it available to everyone on here. :)

The map seemed to load OK for me, but then I encountered the dreaded 'hole in the scenery' shortly after leaving the bus station. MapTools is telling me I am missing the following file: -

    Sceneryobjects\Oberpfalz 3D\Krummenaab\Feldobjekte\Feldobjekte\Getreide.sco

I tried re-installing the map, but with the same result. So, could you help by leading me to where I might download the missing file?

    Best regards!
