The first beta release of the MAN A78 bus is here! Now with 4 different layouts and 2 gearbox options to choose from (ZF/Voith).

Finally, after a long time of working on all versions to make them playable and working in good parameters, the MAN A78 is now available for everyone as a public beta in OMSI.


Brief info about the bus:


The MAN A78 EL2x3 (or Lion's City T) is a low-entry citybus produced by MAN at their turkish plant (MANas) between 2004-2008 (with this specific body). It has been widely sold in Europe and other parts of the world, from the Netherlands to Kazakhstan.


The package includes the following versions:


2-2-1 (typical urban version of the bus)

2-2-0 (mostly seen in Denmark and Germany)

1-2-0 (probably the most known one, many, many of those were bought in the Netherlands)

1-2-1 (mostly seen in Sweden)


Each one comes with both ZF and Voith versions.

Please note that this is my first ever bus mod, thus some things may or may not be subject to change/improvement in the future. The bus is NOT fully finished, but for now it's playable so everything should be fine. Even more is about to come in the next updates, so stay tuned.


I accept criticism as long as it's constructive and I will take any useful suggestions into account to try improving the bus more.


Known bugs and issues:

- no dirt texture (yet)

- some door components' animations are a bit off (not really good at doing this, will try to fix this in a future update)

- a few small gaps in some places

  • Hello,

    could you add a Farego ticketprinter, please? I've already tried everything to get this damn ticketbox in it till now and it actually works because always when I choose the bus, it gets spawned and there's actually no prob. But there are so many troubles with the heights and the positions in general. I changed and changed and changed them step per step with Daueranimation, but I guess, this Farego box doesn't move it's place as well. So it would be really nice, if you could add a Farego box and I'm pretty sure that I'm not just talking for myself because I believe, there are many people that also like to get a Farego printer into this bus.

  • Wie kann man denn das Ibis mit der Taste Einfg steuern, wie bei manchen anderen bussen, man weiß garnicht wie spät es ist ob man verspätung hat oder zu früh ist, und immer mit der maus da hoch zu steuern ist auch doof. ansonsten toller bus

  • Mir ist aufgefallen, dass die Personen auch durch die zweite Tür einsteigen, obwohl diese zu ist, wenn man weiter vorne hält und die Fahrgäste somit von hinten angelaufen kommen.


    Außerdem: Wenn ein Fahrgast zur ersten Tür aussteigen möchte, tut er dies nur, wenn die zweite auch geöffnet ist.


    Nur mal ein paar Fehlermeldungen, die den Bus verbessern würden, wenn diese ausgebessert werden würden.

  • Kleine Frage, wird es in diesem Bus auch ein Euro 6 Lenkrad oder vorn auch AST Türen kommen (Aussenschwenktüren) ?

    • 1. warum sollte im A23 2004-2008 euro 6 sein 2. bau es dir lieber aus bussen aus und hier rein!

    • Ein Euro 6 Lenkrad, hmm.. wahrscheinlich, aber es nicht kommt in der nächste Update.


      Beide die 2. und die 3. Türen sind AST. Ja, es ist richtig, dass in 1-2-0 version, die 1. Tür kommt entweder als IST, oder AST. Es kann in Zukunft kommen als ein Setvar, aber nicht in Moment.

  • Also ich finde den Bus super und möchte mich mal bedanken, dass er freeware zum Download gestellt wurde.


    Ich persönlich muss sagen, dass auch wenn es vielleicht nicht realistisch ist, mir das alte Dashboard, wie es in der Stadtbusfamilie verbaut ist, besser gefallen würde🙈 Aber das ist nur meine Meinung, muss auch keiner teilen😉


    Ich weiß auch nicht was noch in Planung ist, aber sollten die Texturen und Blinker und vor allem die Sichten in nächster Zeit evtl verbessert werden und eine Kasse hinzukommen, weiß ich dass der Bus auf nem Ranking ganz weit oben stehen würde. Super Karre👌🏻😜😇

    • Das VDV Dashboard aus der Stadtbusfam. ist nicht das alt sondern das alternative Dash zur MAN Pille. Ich kenne diese Busse zwar nicht, da hier keine davon rumfahren, aber mich würde es nicht wundern wenn es die nur mit MAN Pille gab.

    • Das Euro 3 version hat mit beide MAN Pille und dem Dashboard von A72/A74 gekommt. Euro 4 und EEV kommt nur mit MAN Pille.

  • Kommen mit der nächsten Version Kassen dazu?

    • Leider nicht. In meinem Land wir benutzen keine Kasse. Aber wenn jemand eine Kasse installiert möchte, gibt es kein Problem.

    • Ja ich hätte gerne eine Kasse weil bei mir sind die selben Busse gefahren und die hatten halt Kassen.

  • Ich mag die Bescheunigung, auch wenn sie vielleicht nicht ganz realistisch ist. Der Bus geht an der Ampel ab wie Schmidts Katze 🚌💨

  • Bei mir schildert die Matrix nicht. Auf Ahlheim komplett nicht und auf Grundorf nur Ziel aber keine Liniennummer.

    4Mal Installiert und plötzlich gehts, denke da war der Download fehlerhaft.


    EDIT: Bin den Bus jz mal gefahren, und macht echt Spaß aber die Kameraperspektiven sind ja echt useless.. vlt fixt die ja jemand oder ich versuch mich da selbst mal dran!

    • Ich habe mir die Sichten im 1-2-0 Voith etwas angepasst. Sollte sich aber auch auf die anderen Modelle übertragen sollen. Kann ich die Tage ja Mal hochladen, wenn ich die ganz fertig habe.

    • I think it's time to uninstall the antivirus you're currently using. I have absolutely no intention of causing damage to someone else's PC with viruses, thus the file is virus-free and without any issues whatsoever.

    • lmao wer nutzt bitte noch Antivirus Software. Größter Scam im Internet

    • Windows direkt erkennt es als Virus, ich habe kein extra programm gedownloadet.

    • Ahh der Trojan hatte ich als Virus vor kurzem. Gut sagst du das dann Downloade ich mir das ned!

  • Excellent freeware

    After spending quite sometime with this addon I must say that I am really impressed with it and it is now one of my favorite buses for Omsi. The model looks fantastic, the textures are great and the physics are sublime. But what really is the icing on the cake for me is the engine sound, it sounds phenomenal.


    The only thing that can use some improvement in my opinion are the door animations as it does break the immersion a little when you see it clip trough it supports.


    But all in all this is truly an outstanding piece of work which has brought me a lot of enjoyment.

  • Eine Gelungene BETA aber mit einigem Verbesserungs Potential

    Hey ho


    So habe den A78 Mini auf der 721 Düsseldorf gerade eben Getestet.


    Pluspunkte


    - Klar die Cola Dose und der Duftbaum

    - Der Bus Bremst gut und gibt auch Ordentlich Gas. ( MAX 100 km/h so wie ich es Testen konnte.

    - Er läuft sehr Ruckelfrei was auch manchmal ein Riesen Vorteil ist.


    Minuspunkte


    - Das Kassensystem Fehlt

    - Das Ibis ist auf Italienisch

    - Die Buttons für Temperatur Steuerung Fehlen und Wenn man Klima anmacht heizt er Trotzdem auf 30 Grad hoch.



    Alles in Allem ein Guter Start und ich freu mich auf weitere Updates :)

    Erstmal, in meine Stadt wir benutzen keine Kasse, deshalb der Bus kommt nur mit IBIS.

    Zweimal, das IBIS ist in Rumänisch, nicht Italienisch. Aber im nächsten Update, kommt es in Englisch werden.

    Dreimal, ja, ich weiß, dass die Buttons für Temperatur Steuerung fehlen. Ich kann im nächsten Update zu fixen.

  • umsetzung

    Ich finde das man sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben hat ,wie zum Beispiel eine Coladose und Duftbaum.
    Für jeden MAN-fan ein muss.:thumbup:
