  • Hi guys. I start by apologising if this is the wrong topic, but i dont know where else to publish this question. Im trying to make my first map in Omsi editor, and I found a lot of tutorials that explain how to do most of the things, like making roads, putting the scenary, organising the traffic, etc... But I never find a tutorial that explain how to build tunnels, I also checked some manuals found on internet but there was nothing that could help me. Since Im making a map based on a real place using DEMs and map overlay, and in this map there is a road with some tunnels, I need to know how to make them in Omsi Editor. If there is someone that can explain it to me I'll be very grateful.

  • There are 2 Types of tunnels:

    - "fake" Tunnels where you simply build a wall and roof over the Street, so the Street isn't really under the Terrain. This just affords a bit of Scenery work to hide the fact that this isn't a real tunnel

    - "real" tunnels which really go under the Terrain, for these you wiol need the entrances as sceneryobjects to switch between above and under the terrain. To enable this, there's an option in the Object menu of the editor. enable this for the entrance objects and save the map, after it there will be a hole in the Terrain for the Tunnel. If you want so see an example, look at the "Blankwitz" Map by Waldheini12, there are at least two tunnels near S Blankwitz (you can also use the objects from him).
