Help needed for converting a 3D model into OMSI

    My name is Malcolm. I have a 27 year old Autistic son who loves Omsi2 Bus Simulator. But I am in need of some help if possible. I purchased a Model 3D Optare Versa Bus from Hub just before Xmas. What I would like to do is to Integrate this bus into the Omsi2 Game. Would this be possible at all. I have the link to the bus.

    Do you mean this Bus here?


    A new bus to intergrate in a Simulation is heavy! Some developer seat more months even years on a Bus for OMSI.... You neded also sounds from the Vehicle, Pictures etc... How much you pay for the 3D Bus? Dollar or Euro? I think you are new in OMSI? Do you know the basics and more in the direction of Blender and modding?


    EDIT: This Thread is for mods from Sobol .... So its the wrong thread for the Question...

    This will not work at all because this model got to much polygons. The performance within OMSI is not great its even not good at all, with this model it would be unplayable. It would maybe work with ETS2 or some other bus simulator but not with OMSI.


    You would need to highly customize this one to make it work within OMSI. Like reduce polygons. Doing some new textures etc.


    Most of these models just even don't have any interior at all. It just looking good from the outside.


    It would be easier to learn Blender or just pay a guy that build one for you or your son. Im sorry for you and your son.

    Thanks for informing me Lazarus. Obviously it was not what I wanted to hear, but i do appreciate you being honest. I did ask Hub if the Bus could be Integrated into Omsi2 on more than one occasion, but looking back now, they were a bit shifty on that one. Just hope Omsi might release a version of the Versa in the near furure.

    My son has took the news very badly as i was expecting. Such a shame it could not be done. Well i suppose we all live and learn. I should never have purchased the model in the first place.

    I realise it is not in the same league the other Versa, but it may be easier to integrate into Omsi2.
