OMSI speed limit in BYD electric bus

    Hey all,


    I have tried to change the speedlimit in BYD electric bus (also applied to youtung 1200 from the V_Series, they have the same engine)

    I have changed speedgov,rpmgov,and also RPM max throttle, but the bus still seems to be limited at 69KMPH and 2240 RPM

    Is there anything else I have missed up?

    to change max. speed you have to edit two entries. Open engine_costfile file which is located under script folder of the bus.


    There you have to find this entry:


    [newcurve]

    max_speed <--------- It may have different name depending on the bus


    [pnt]

    84 <--------- Engine will decrease power (84 km/h)

    1


    [pnt]

    85 <--------- This is maximal speed (85 km/h)- engine will stop speeding more

    hi,i'm a Chinese player with these buses.so i may know something about it.


    according to the creator,the speed limit is restricted by the B7 structure of the bus.a normal bus is no faster than 69km/h and a high speed one is no faster than 99km/h


    so the fastest speed is locked and cannot be changed.yep,you can make the fastest speed lower but not higher


    till now most of the Chinese bus mods in OMSI are using B7 structure.so it is possibly not possible to make the bus go faster.
