[...]Honestly, it was a bit troll text.
And why is everyone so upset with Lotus [...]
Maybe, just MAYBE, because one half of the LOTUS development team treated the OMSI-community like s**t back in the day when they closed the OMSI Forum.
Another reason could MAYBE be that people payed 40€ for a game that has been in early access for 6 years now.
If that makes you happy - so be it.
But I don't think you are genuinely wondering why people are upset.
So I'd rather think YOUR text is the troll text here.
No way I'm trolling here, but I won't defend myself further than this. Also, people paid for the early access version and they got the early access content. For me 40€ is quite a lot but I don't complain - I bought it for tools mainly. And even if it's a failed project or I'm thinking it is, I would move on and not continually coming back to the forum to remind people "hey, it's six years, when you will finish it".

No, you wrote the well known thing that Lotus progress is slow and what that text contributed? Absolutely nothing. Honestly, it was a bit troll text.
And why is everyone so upset with Lotus, you can play/await The Bus or continue to develop/play OMSI.

FPS aside, the lighting is amazing. Even my buildings look nice

I love and still play Omsi (what else), but the Lotus editor is much better (for me). It's difficult to go back.

I'm working on my map for Lotus (I believe in the project) and honestly, if this news is true, I will be disappointed only if this further delays the progress of missing features. I don't care if it's built on x, y or z platform (although I use C#).
I still think this is a joke because it's surreal that the pricing model is issue now since the Unity saga happened even before the Lotus switching to Unity announcement.

Any action is better than no action especially after the long period of nothing new (they reached a dead end). I don't know much about game dev, but this should free them from a lot of things, those that Unity already has (lighting, shading, GPU support...).
And I'm glad that the Lotus editor stays, so Unity Editor won't be needed.

I just tested, when I delete aerials folder the download doesn't work (like in your case). Once I restore the aerials folder it works. So make sure to have correct aerials folder structure.

You don't have to create a new map, but you need to close Omsi before you make any changes to the link.
