Do you have already informations about Gearbox, Motor, Emission Class and year of construction?
You can choose between ZF and Voith gearboxes, the engine in both cases is MAN D0836 (just like in real life) with Euro 4 emission class. The year of construction is 2008.
Yeah that D0836 engine is pretty unlike the rest of them, not even similar to the ones in the A21, A20 and A37. No Voith gearbox has so brutal kickdowns as the one in the EL283/A78.

Oh by the way, I think the idle speed that the tachometer shows is a bit to high, it should be around 600 RPM and the redline should begin at 2800 RPM as far as I know for the EL283. The El283's we've had in my city used buttons to start and shut down the engine, and not keys. They were placed right under the button for the hazard lights, where there seems to be empty space right now from what I can see in the clip from Facebook. Depending on model I think the "stop brake" is activated with a stick, and not a button. I think you know what I mean if you take a look at the picture I have uploaded in this post. I also have a weak memory of the retarder warning light shows up next to the gear selector display, and not as a green symbol on the dash, but I might be wrong.
But anyways great work. the hard bit is definitely over. Note that these are just some small details that could be fun to include to make the driving even greater.

The bus will also recieve real D0836 + ZF sounds + other sound changes, that are currently in works. After that, the bus will be released as a public beta (please don't ask about the release date because I don't even know it myself, since it doesn't depend on me).
Meanwhile, apart from other small issues, gaps, and glitches that I'm currently fixing, I reworked the bus template, adding some light shadows to make it look slightly more realistic. What do you think?

Well... it's basically Kruger+ (the fonts are similar to Mobitec) with a fake BUSE controller. I'm not that good at scripting so it acts like an IBIS..

Since nothing has been posted for almost 2 months (because I had COVID and stayed in quarantine for some time + preparations for my final exams), I'm coming out with another small update. I'm currently adding another setvar, this time for the windscreen (splitted or full). The only thing that hasn't been finished yet is the regen mesh for the splitted one, so that it looks realistic when you wipe it.
On the other hand, Jokervation has made a video to test out the real D0836 + ZF sounds for the A78 that my friend is currently working on. Tell me what do you think!

How cool isn't that, a repaint of the previous buses in a town located near me!
Another update after almost 4 months, in which nothing major has been made to the bus, due to lack of time and motivation.
Well, the vehicles are pretty much playable and the mod will have its first beta release on, at most, 18th August or later (depends when Webdisk will approve my file when it will be uploaded).
Since it's the first beta release, there will be, of course, some issues which I haven't managed to fix to this day. The door script is a pain in the ass for me, and I hope i'll get to fix it completely in a future update. The one that's currently used will remain as a placeholder until further notice. Don't worry, it's working, no errors in the logfile, but some small functions are missing.
LE: I fixed it, works as it should, without any zugriff errors and other stuff.
Moreover, because the buddy who's been working on the ZF sounds has some personal problems, the vehicle will be released with Morphi's D0836 + ZF as a placeholder, until the next update. The Voith sounds are pretty much done so it should be ok.
