Nano's projects - Volvo 8000-series [8500/8700/8900] & Scania LAK Scala etc.

I've been really wondering how there can be so few almost none volvo buses in Omsi for example 8500 and 8700. I mean the game has been around for almost 10 years now and the majority of the mods is either man or solaris. Another thing, the configurations of door 1-1-0 is almost none existing in omsi as well and I'm just wondering the reason behind it. either I'm blind or there is almost none

Is the models hard to make? Is volvo unpopular in omsi? is there anything to do with licenses or copyright? what makes the 8500 and 8700 for example so special from the others that no one can make a mod of it?

Can some modder answer haha so people especially volvo fans get an understanding

There can be many reasons behind it, some people just tend to wait for something to appear rather than trying to cook something up.

As for the modelling part, wouldn't say that they're any harder to make than a regular Citaro C2. The material part plays a big factor too and I'd like to think that most devs aren't necessarily too keen on making a bus if they can't gather any material from such.

The biggest part however would be the interest behind modelling such bus which is also contributed by those previously listed factors. I'd never make a bus that's not familiar to me.

I really would like to see the Finnish Buses!^^

This thread has existed since 2021, can we get an update on how it´s going? I mean we all know that you modders have a life as well, but there is actually people hoping that you modders would be more open on the process instead of making hopes that will be remained. What is the problem exactly with this mod taking so much time? Is it the lack of time? money? energy? I hope that the modders would be more open with the process and why not sell the mod so you earn something back.

I'm looking for a modder who can make a Volvo 8500 B12BLE. Of course I'll pay for the mod because I think we will get GTA 6 before this mod. If interesting write to me.

I mean you mostly answered your question, if there was 48 hours in a day everything would go a bit smoother, but so far there's only 24h to work around

Would like to remind that it's mostly us two working on these buses and they do take time. Nothing's being quit or anything, at the moment we're building our Scania Suburban which is going well once again. Developing for us is also finding new ways to do things, so it's not always that straightforward of a deal and of course sometimes there can be bumps on the road with scripts and stuff.

Money is cool, but would like to remind that this is our hobby, not our job, so we like to take the most pride in creating the best things we ever can. Sure there are people who are looking forward to driving our creations, it's of course flattering and keeps us motivated, but it's hard to buy more time and sometimes energy, so we do what we can.

Just keep up with the good work guys! I belive in you all! By making the 8500, you'd make my dream come true, since i can't be a real driver due to my colorblindess.

I think its paused for now they working on the Scania Citywide

Very much still alive with our projects, mostly scripting as that's the crucial part at the moment.

p.s, we're doing a Citywide LE Suburban, not a default Citywide
