    Kann AUXI denn überhaupt Schnee "erzeugen"? Bei mir liegt hier gefühlt 20cm aber in AUXI ist noch alles grün :/ Die Temperatur übernimmt es ohne Probleme.

    Can AUXI generate snow? In my town there are perceived 20 cm, but in OMSI it's all green. The temperature are correct (-8°C).

    AUXI currently can't change the textures on the map itself to represent a snowy landscape. It will snow from the sky at least. In a future version I will see if I can address this. I'm also looking into possibly making it so if it had recently rained or snowed then OMSI's streets will already appear wet or have snow on.

    Hello. Yesterday there came an Update 1.20 for AUXI. But it causes a lot of problems. First of all, it's for an older OMSI-Version and not compatible with the current Version. So placing a bus causes a freeze. And if I patch it to the Version it should be working, then AUXI doesn't recognise that I placed a bus or even started OMSI

    Hi, I made an error in the changelog. I was meant to say that version 2.3.004 is only supported (latest version of OMSI 2).


    Regarding the freeze, are you by any chance using the OMSI Presentation Tools plugin? I ask because some others have reported freezing issues in OMSI and it turned out they were using said plugin with AUXI too. My guess is that the two plugins conflict because they are both modifying and accessing the camera and something (OMSI?) doesn't like it for some reason.


    An AUXI log file might be helpful, please ensure that logging level is set to 'debug (everything)' and either DM me your AUXILog.txt file or post it here (make sure your weather API key is removed in that log if you use real weather in AUXI).

    Sorry for my recent absence in this thread, I've been pretty busy with finishing the development of AUXI v1.2 and have mostly been on the official Discord server for AUXI during that time.


    I'm taking a look at the recent posts now, as well as the log attached. I'll edit this post again shortly with feedback. I may also offer to DM you the latest beta version of 1.2 as it has gone through a code modernisation process which may or may not fix the issue you're having (depending on the issue).

    Unfortunately that log file is no good for me. I need it in debug logging level. Can you change the logging level on AUXI's UI (lower right there's a dropdown box) to "debug (everything) and send me the new log file please? That's assuming AUXI isn't frozen before you can do this. I'm not sure if logging will tell me what's causing the freeze though.


    However, I'm also wondering if sending you version 1.2 beta 3 (currently) might be helpful. As I say, the code has been modernised and a number of minor bugs were found during that process.

    Auxi doesn't work on Grundorf either. I press menu and settings and the field doesn't even come up and then I get this error message. I'm asking again for urgent help because I paid for Auxi

    I've looked at your OMSI log and can't help but notice this spamming it:
    "Error: Fehler bei Bereichsprüfung: CV.Calculate - J2 (Vehicles\Neoplan_N4421\Neoplan_N4421.bus)"


    Where can I find that bus so I can try it for myself?


    Have you tried another bus and map, e.g. one of the buses and maps which came with OMSI originally?


    I believe that OMSI is frozen due to this error spamming in your OMSI log, not directly related to AUXI, but I might be wrong.

    Sorry for the slow reply. That's an interesting problem. When the code modernisation process is finished very soon I'll be able to explore it further and hopefully replicate it here.


    One other thing, I would blur your API key.


    One other interesting observation is that your OMSI real weather is also apparently enabled, based on your OMSI log mentioning it. This is incorrect and should be disabled by the plugin automatically, so this in itself is a strange bug but could likely explain why your getting this issue if they are both trying to control the weather.

    For the November update I will try to add columns to the AI planner for the globals.cfg 'traffic density' and 'passenger density' multipliers which should help resolve this. At the moment when the AI planner is used then these multipliers are set to 1.0.

    So far I have only seen a video of it, but this seems to be a great tool. I have a question with regard to its weather features:

    I haven't seen it mentioned explicitly, but I assume that AUXI also brings dynamic "ficitional" weather to OMSI, not just real weather. Is that correct, i.e. I wouldn't need an API key for tomorrow.io (I really don't care about real weather)?

    If that's the case, does AUXI take into account the in-game date so that you don't get snow in summer and temperatures are somewhat realistic for the current season? Does it also check the latitude from global.cfg of the map to determine suitable weather conditions?

    Does AUXI also change temperature based on time of day with dynamic weather switched on when not using tomorrow.io API?

    Yes AUXI offers a random weather mode (dynamic), this mode isn't based on real weather somewhere.


    At the moment the plugin doesn't consider the day or month of the year, but that's an interesting idea. In a future version I intend to add seasonal random weather modes so the user has more flexibility, as the current random weather mode appears to be a little biased towards winter weather.


    The plugin only uses latitude and longitude if the real weather mode is used.


    Currently no, the plugin doesn't change temperature based on time of day when using the random weather mode. It's just random.

    I see. Hmm, well I would imagine the head tilt would do something virtually similar. That's the only other camera setting I'm aware of (camera tilt) which isn't implemented yet.

    The ability to tilt the driver's head up, down, left or right will be added in a future update, if that's what you mean.


    For now you can move the driver's seat forward, backward, make it higher or lower and finally adjust the field of view.

    Regarding the time synchronisation option that's currently greyed out, this had to be done to workaround a problem in OMSI where if the date was changed by the time synchronisation then the weekday in OMSI ironically wouldn't also change. I hope to restore being able to change this setting in the next version.


    However, you shouldn't be delayed. The time should be updating as long as OMSI's time falls behind the 'actual time' shown in AUXI. If that's not the case then I will need to see an AUXI log with debug logging level.

Ich habe aber zwei Vorschläge: Wäre es möglich eine Funktion hinzuzufügen, die jeden (ungefähr) Frame/FixedFrame ein LUA-Script ausführen könnte? Möglicherweise könnte man dies mit einer async-Methode und einer Schleife umsetzen? Könnte man LUA-Scripts per Button/bzw. über das Menü ausführen? Somit könnte man OMSI perfekt modden! Ein Beispiel für das Ausführen von LUA-Scripts per Button wäre das Überspringen der Pausenzeit, Ändern der .HOF-Datei auf eine bestimmte, usw...

    AUXI is a really great programme, especially the developer tools. Great praise to the developer! But I have two suggestions: Would it be possible to add a function that could execute a LUA script every (approximately) Frame/FixedFrame? Possibly this could be implemented with an async method and a loop? Could LUA scripts be executed by button/via the menu? This would be a perfect way to mod OMSI! An example for executing LUA scripts via button would be skipping the pause time, changing the .HOF file to a specific one, etc....

    Regarding the suggestions:

    - Yes I can add some kind of 'update' loop, that's a good idea.

    - If you mean execute directly from the plugin, this isn't possible 'yet'. I have a few complexities to sort out before this can happen. Eventually I want to offer the ability for LUA scripts to be autorun if they are placed in a certain directory though. There's still a fair bit on the roadmap, such as what's listed on Discord but also some things which may not be such as hotkey support (hopefully) and some special AUXI variables which OMSI scripts can use (such as variables for making adjustments to the driver seat).

    Strange, there's nothing in either of the logs to really indicate what's causing the crash.


    I assume AUXI's weather is disabled, the feature for moving the driver camera with the steering wheel is disabled, TTS announcements are disabled, auto time synchronisation is disabled and driver seat adjustment settings are at default?


    If one of the above is different then see what happens when running AUXI with everything set as above.

    Ixel I've just tested the updated version and I am really glad about the improvements made in regards to the TTS system. Also having the choice of getting a repeated announcement when approaching a stop is a nice idea and especially useful on maps with long distances between the stops. Good thinking and a big thumbs up for the fast fix. The enhanced documentation is a welcome addition, too. Thanks a lot, mister.


    One thing I noticed but can't say on whether it is OMSI or AUXI related is that when the dynamic whether option is enabled, changing the current whether is only possible if there is no player bus spawned. I haven't tested what happens if a spawned bus gets handed to the ai, but removing an already spawned one gives you the control over the weather back again. It's not a game breaker but weird and players should probably be made aware of that behaviour.


    One little feature idea (feel free to ignore): It would be nice to have the possibility to assign hotkeys to the seat adjustment as well as to trigger the TTS announcement (when driving old busses that usually don't have automated ones, for example).

    Regarding the dynamic weather, if AUXI's weather is enabled then it will constantly override any changes made to OMSI's weather. This includes any changes applied by the user or by another plugin. If you had AUXI's weather enabled at the time then this is normal behaviour.


    Regarding hotkeys, this is something I've tried numerous times to implement but so far without success sadly. The moment OMSI's window is focused the hotkeys are no longer able to be captured by AUXI. I can override this but subsequently it then causes OMSI to no longer accept keyboard input. At a later time I will come back to this and see if there's a viable workaround so that both AUXI and OMSI can accept keyboard inputs at the same time.

    Moin, ich habe den Key von tomorrow eingegeben und die passenden Koordinaten (51.087000, 8.889860) eingegeben und dann sollte doch eigentlich das passende Wetter kommen. Laut tomorrow ist es dort gerade 6°C und es regnet nicht. In OMSI ist die Temperatur allerdings -15°C und es schneit. Hab ich was falsch gemacht?

    This is currently normal. In order to gradually make the cloudy state change over a period of time, instead of sudden changes periodically, AUXI doesn't use fixed skybox textures.     That is correct, the update coming soon allows you to choose voices which .NET TTS supports. These are based on what's installed on your system. Windows 10 for example has a section for speech where you can install multiple languages. It won't support them all though, for some reason.

    I've looked at your log files but it looks like debug logging level isn't set in AUXI so AUXI's log file isn't too useful at the moment. I would need an AUXI log file where AUXI's logging level is set to 'debug (everything)'.


    Someone did report an issue with freezing when adjusting the driver seat, I have since done a few bug fixes which will be in an update this week. In the meantime it might be a good idea if I also send you a special version just to see if what I've done possibly resolves your freezing problem. If it doesn't then the upcoming version also has much more debug logging for code relating to the driver camera so it might give me an insight into what's causing it.


    I can send you a DM with the special version if you're interested in trying that too. Let me know.
