  • Hi,

I'd like to make some repaints for the Solaris' on Urbino II DLC, but when repaint is done, adhesives on glasses are hardly to see, like if they were faded.

    What can I do?

Thanks in advance who will answer to me

set the transparency of the window areas to 0% or in other words to 100% visibility. everything else can stay at 0% visibility.

as an example, lets take a look on the standard DVB Repaint.

As you can see, there are stickers on the windows and the doors. to get them visible, the alpha-channel of the texture needs to be 100% visible in those areas. In photoshop, they are masked by white (100% visibility) or black (0% visibility).

the alpha channel for the texture should look like this:

using a different software, the black areas are completely transparent and the visible stuff will be shown. you have to create your repaints accordingly.

  • If I put the transparency of everything else but the window area to zero, I get a completely black bus. The window paints show correctly though. How should the repaint be done exactly? Should I use a specific setting for dds?
