The line 9374, from Porto Alto's school centre to S. José de Musashi's railroad station is a busy line in 2004. Crossing through minor villages and places and towns, this line is a respectful treaty on itself. Population numbers are of the 2001 Census.
Number #4501, a 2009 Setra S 416 NF (reg. 36-HU-57) is still able to adapt to this 2004 Ribatejo. It starts in Porto Alto, a town of 13,100 people. From the school centre, crosses the main avenue (Av. Ferreira Borges, then goes to the EN10 stop).
From the EN10, the line turns to the EN114 road, where then goes to EN114-1 for two stops in Gavião. A small town of 2,500 people. This long bus can manage through this area without too many hitches.
Now, with Gavião away, to Poços Novos and Vila Rica. Poços Novos is a town of 7,500 people in the middle of the EN114 road. A busy town with the main park located in the square of the centre of the town.
The roadway between Poços Novos and Vila Rica is a mixed bag. First stretch is a run at 80 km/h for about 2 km. Then, a slow down to 60 km/h, to run into the Vila Rica bridge. Then, the Vila Rica railroad station (Apeadeiro) is next on the list of stops for #4501.
We now arrive to Vila Rica. But after doing the stop of the train station, and before entering the Universidade do Ribatejo complex, the line gets through the logistics centre of the town of 10,000, with an important town hall square, busy with commerce and local politics.
Benfica is a small town in a portion of the EN114 road. A town of 3,500 people, where the line has a bus stop that serves the town and the communities that compose it. It is here where the #4501 shines at speeds of 80 km/h.
São Brás do Caniço e Vale de Faias are two small villages of 900 (SBC) and 1,200 (VdF) people. Only the local form of the 9374 serves SBC, VdF is served by both 9374 and 9374X express. Between SBC and VdF there's a stretch that you can go at speeds of 100 km/h! It is here where the 9374 leaves the EN114 road for the EN114-8 variant.
S. José de Musashi is a town of 12,100 people and is where the line 9374 ends in 2004. First serves the Paços do Concelho and the parish community, before finishing the run at the railroad station. It took 42 minutes from Porto Alto to SJM.
Setra S 416 NF (from DLC S400NF Citybus) | Alto da Boa Viagem, line 9374 (WIP, with Wto2004 AI-List mod also WIP) | CP Alto da Boa Viagem / MTB 2004 (WIP, comes as option)
