    Hi,

Indeed it has been reported, fortunately, I know why, unefortunately, I also paradoxally don't know why :"D

For some reason one of the screens on the VDV triggers a TUV 2 error, but I have no idea why as every texture of this screen is correct. Anyway, that's somethign I'll definitely fix in the first patch set to release in june.

    Hi thanks for your comment.

However, about the 1 point, I just recorded a facelift yesterday and I can confirm than when you stop the engine it also stop the elec, so that's not a bug.

The bus has a stop brake, it's the small stick on VDV and old dash, and the middle button on the bottom raw on the new dash.

I don't understand point 3 about door control buttons. Though I have in my backlog of idea, the plans to implement auto door in setvar in an update.

About point 4 the switch for the roof hatches are the one above your head (the green ones), and no there is no ramp on the bus, as it's useless feature because there are no disabled AI in OMSI.

Hello, this issue appears because the 3door has a Krueger K++ LED matrix, whereas the 2 doors have a dot matrix based of off the orignal Man OMSI script.

For this to funstion, the hof file (if it is kruger) needs to have a replacement text for non kruger K++ LED buses to work on it (Kruger works by displaying a picture which is saved in a folder somewher, other matrix work by generating a text).

For some reason the Devs of this particular map have neglected to add the replacement text. Maybe they didn't feel like players without Kruger matrix were important enough to play the map ?

Anyway, I know there is a hof file somwhere for K+ (dot matrix) out there somewhere for this map and it works.

You're right: Some people use wrong words to point out some not perfect things, like "you should fix this immediatly otherwise I will not download your crap." This is not contructiv, although the the critic itself may have a point. But if someone shows something with a marked picture "look, these measures seem not to fit compared to the original, perhaps it is possible to improve that area" there is no reason to take this critics personal and cancel the project.

Yes, of course, the majority of users won't see such small differences in the model, but to speak FOR ME: I always want to create a model that is as perfect as possible. Absolute perfection isn't possible, but every help in finding inaccuracies helps me to reach a higher standard.

I don't know if Mx and his team want perfection or not, that is their decision. But for that they are the only to say "stop this nitpicking".

And to be honest: In a way nitpicking in the manner it is done here shows, that there must have been a lot done well until here...

I think you are pointing something very right here, the way it is said is almost more important than what is said, even I felt aggression in the message in answered to first, even though it's not my bus.

Though to quote you here "there is no reason to take this critics personal and cancel the project" many projects were abadon for many reasons including, too big for the creator, no time, data lost, or simply bad interaction with the community (I mean by that, they may have not liked some comments).

At the end of the day we can think what we wan't, it's the perception of the creator that counts the most. Their perception of critics, and their will to attain perfection or something close to that is the benchmark here :)

Anyway, have a nice day ;)

To be honest: I would prefer to drive these buses as perfect as possible, not as quick as possible.

It depends if you see the glass half full or half empty. As a bus creator as well, I feel like some people look at your pictures with the only goal of finding errors and problems. I feel like that as long as we don't have access to 3d scanning or official CAD files it will NEVER be perfect.

When I see screenchots of that dashboard I just see a well reproduced Citaro dashboard, and even when comparing with that picture I don't feel like it's too bad.

And to be honnest, I don't feel like nitpicking about millimeters is the way too go. Especially when we know that some C2 were released before and nobody complained about them even if there are some obvious defects.

I know you are a well informed omsi player/creator and in that quality you expect everything is perfect and I can relate to that. But you are not the average omsi player so it's pefectly normal your expectations are a bit higher.

I think that the average omsi player that is not a bus driver behind the wheel of a citaro 40h a week, will look at this dash and say "this is a nice Citaro dash". And keep in mind that these palyer represent a very vast majority of the OMSI player.

I'm just worried that nitpicking may discourage the creator to the point of abandoning everything like it have happened many times before. And a critic that in your mind is just to help improving the creations may become the final nail in a coffin.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against critics but I feel like we must adapt our expectation to the means available to the creator, and millimeter precision is not achievable without very expensive gear that nobody has.

Either way, I really like how this project is turning out and I'm wishing the best to the dev team, and after all, it is up to them to define what "constructive is" for their creation. And as I expressed before, millimiter precision is not constructive to me.

Can't you just let that go ? Seriously it's just a matter of millimeters, and nobody will avec notice unless they have a perfectly straight pictures (like yours). I don't think you understand the scale of what your asking here. Depending on what's wrong, the fix can go from a simple texture fix, with the needles beeing moved a little bit and call it a day. But if the problem comes from the screen, it may need to be exported all over again, not only that but it may also be done all over again if there is a problem of proportions. Not only that, maybe the dash isn't in the same place il all versions, maybe it needs to be exported multiple times ?

I don't understand your goal here, do you wan't (as everyone here) to drive these excellent looking buses as quick as possible ?

Or is your goal to point out as many tiny little details like a maniac ? (Are you Adrian Monk ?)

In my eye a critic is only constructive when it's for the greater good. If it is a bout some big problems that everybody will notice. If you need to get your micro meter and your macro lens to show the "problem" your pointing out, at best the author will fix it and it will add god how long to the developpement time, at worst, he will just be discouraged and abandon the project (lake MANY other projects..)

I can only agree with you, as a creator as well, I'm tired of all the questions about which feature will be included.

This creates an uncomfortable situation because, when someone asks something you can't/don't want to do, you don't want to disapoint them so it makes you feel like you should do it.

I think we should let the devs the opportunity to create the project as they intend to and enjoy what we get, even though it might not be 100% what we wan't. For example I'm 100% sure the version I wan't to see won't be done but thats not a problem, there will be nearly all variants (steps as Citaro geeks call them :p ) available as far as I understand, so at worse I will get close enough the result I wan't, and at best I will just modify the bus I wan't as I want it.

That's one thing I learned as a dev, it is impossible to please everyone, each time you say yes to a request, there will be another one coming.

And to corroborate what Perotinus said earlier, the simple fact that the dev teams almost never answer to those who ask "will ther be...." may mean that they feel the same : those questions are just a waste of everyone time, and because of that, this topic is 15 pages long even though there are not many update posts from the devs.

    Achtung Freakshow:

I respect the fact that you know very well your way around this game and understand that you contribution are purely objective.

However, I find a bit picky on this subject, you should go easy on mx and his team ;) Especially when you realise the size of the project and the fact it is freeware.

In fact, in Iajer's video the sound of the game is very low in the mix and that's very hard to get a clear opinion on the sounds of the vehicles.

Moreover, calculating the frequency of the engine with pure maths don't give you the big picture, there are some harmonics that completely change your perception of the RPM. For example, I have noticed that on iveco engines, voith gearbox make them sound higher pitched.

I have alway found that the best way to make sure the engine sound recorded is in fact the RPM you think it is, is by comparing with other reccording with a simillar sounding engine.

I don't know how the sounds were record, if it was multiple takes in different places of the bus, one take at only one place, if it was recorded every 100 RPM or 300 RPm or anything else, maybe if there were only 5 RPM recorded that could explain what you are pointing out ?

To conclude, I know it is very tempting to have a 100% perfect project, but as the authors said themselves, they may have to cut some corners otherwise it'll never be finished. No creations is ever perfect and as far as I'm concerned, these bus seem to be a HUGE improvement over the C2 we already have in game so maybe we should go easy on them and if some things are not 100% right I'm sure that some updates will fix it, or even some talented sound modders like Morphi will fix those issues if the problems are sound related.

PS : this is not attack, just an opinion ;)

ver_toit is modifying the style of the roof and thus position of holes for the skylights if you have skylight. It is ver_pdl that changes the position of roof hatchs style and position.

Es ist das Oberlicht von GX327, aber ich habe bestätigt, dass die Position nicht übereinstimmt.

It looks like this is a repaint, the problem here is that SETVARs for the skylight position were not changed

I was beginning to wonder that :D. So the only remaining things seem to be the battery switch then, which still can't be operated by mouse, but is fully animated and functional when using the key commands and the coins for the change.

    Regards Achim

Those are known issues. We will do our best to fix it ;)

I am pushing the button on the dash with my mouse, which makes the button move and a sound comes up which sounds just like a moving ramp :)

Also I drove the 10m version last night and I noticed the side matrix is inoperative. Another thing I noticed while driving the GX 117L was the interior sound of the engine. Whenever you had to stop, the idle sound's volume increased significantly. Of course I've never been in the original vehicle, so it could be like that, but it seems that the idle sound is too loud in the front by the driver's seat.

I dont understand, there are no buttons for the wheel chair ramp, could you adda picture of the button in question ?

As for the GX117L, this is modeled after a real vehicle, and this bus had neither back matrix nor side matrix, it's not that it doesn't work, it's just because there is no matrix ;)

This bus is equiped with an Iveco tector 6 engine which is well known for its high level of vibrations at idle :Dwhen it was new, it was less noisy for sure, but god that buses are noisy IRL :D

I can perfectly understand you find that strange though, these buses are very VERY strange. Especially that particular one.

Thank you very much for your message :) yes indeed, there is problem with the front doors on the articulated 3 doors variants. Not sure why yet but this issue will be addressed for a future fix update.

I'm not sure what you mean by the wheelchair ramp though, none of our bus have wheelchair ramps, and the buttons are missing on the first DLC and innoperative on the second one. Are you using a keyboard shortcut to trigger that ramp ?
