  • Hi team!

    1. Which programme do you have a problem with? (Main application, editor, SDK tools, etc.)

    > Omsi 2

    2. Please describe the problem in as much detail as possible. What happened or what might have led to the error?

    > When i try to launch up omsi 2 the game loading time to the main menu is up to 15 minutes (the logfile what i include is ~5 minutes)

    3. Please add a log file to your post, either in a spoiler, code block or as a file attachment.

The only thing that i noticed to others logfile is the TIR DLL path found.

    4. If there is a helpful screenshot of the problem, you can upload and include it as a post attachment.

    - not needed.

    5. Provide your system information if it is a performance problem. (Operating system, processor, graphics card, hard disk type, memory, etc.)

    > Windows 10
    R5 2600x
    RTX 3060Ti
    16Gb ram
    HDD (Seagate Barracuda 1Tb 7200rpm)

    Thanks for the help!

  • Hey there.

Well, first of what is strange here is the fact that your Logfile doesn't confirm your reported issue with up to 15 Minutes of loading time at all..

Your Logfile shows up a loading time From 8:43 to 8:49, what means 6 Minutes loading time..

This is a Normal loading time for your PC stated specifics in my eyes.

  • the bigger your OMSI folder, the longer will be the loading time

Sorry if need to contradict to you, but it is not only related to how big your OMSI folder is as longest you have got an tidy and optimized SSD or HDD, everything should be fine. In fact it has more to do with how strong your PC, specially your CPU is. For example enough RAM, a good and powerful CPU are more important then a powerful GPU, because OMSI2 taking lot more CPU power then GPU power.

  • My recommendation is just to get a SSD (SATA or NVMe) and store omsi on it or keep your HDD <75% full (i recommend Bleachbit to clean your drive). Limiting the size of your omsi folder helps too so either a) delete omsi in its entirety and reinstall omsi and maps you actually play or b) try and figure out what vehicles/sceneryobjects/splines are redundancies and delete them

If you're running it with steam you can try validating your files too to fix any possible issue with the base game.
