    The sounds really seem to be €5, but I miss some Setra sound characteristics: Like more bass, turbo sound, breaking sounds (but let's first wait for the retarder here..)

  • Wow, that looks amazing.

    Do you also want to build the "normal" S 415 UL, because the bus on the pictures is a S 415 UL business?

    Do the Intercity S 41x will also have the possiblity to choose different things like the ticket machine or the hubcaps like in the O 405?

    For the ticket machine I also have an idea. What about the Almex Optima BL with Lawo Controller?

    Greetings,

    diebacher_busfan

  • Great work!

    For the ticket machine I have some ideas:

    - Almex optima (Big advantage: You don't need to build this model anymore)

    - Zelisko FSD5+ (Is used by some companies and does not exist in Omsi yet)

    - Atron FR Compact

    - Atron AFR4

    Actually you don't need to build a destination controller anymore, this ticket machines are able to control the destination display!

  • this ticket machines are able to control the destination display!

    I think that depends on your wiring between Matrix, Printer, Controller. Many "big" or City-hold-Busses have the ticket printer also on the matrix, smaller and subcontractors still program the Matrix with the controller.

    As i said this morning, nice gimmick, but not the most importand feature. I don't care here really, how it will be at the end.

  • Thank you very much for the warm reception and all the kind words. :)

    So, some awnsers/oppinions:

    • For the destination controller, I'll deffenentley make either a Gorba-CU 5 ou a LAWO SICMA - with the correct functions scripted of course. Any pictures, manuals, information, etc., just post it here or send me a private message. Every extra resource is very useful for me. :)
    • Thank you so much for all the suggestions for the ticket machine. I'm not sure yet, but once I start making them you guys will be the first to know. However, I really prefer machines that have the user-manuals available (like BVG suggested) , since they make my job a lot easier, and I'm also able to make a more realistic script. Again, any resources you might have are more than welcome, so just send them if you'd like to. I want to make at least two models (since I really enjoy making ticket machines, for some reason :P ), however I'm not sure I'll reuse the Optima from the O405. I might add it to give some more variety, but there will be new ticket machines for sure.
    • As some of you noticed, the sounds are from an Euro 5. They still need adjustment, and I'll do my best to improve them, since I acknowledge that sound design is deffenentley my worst skill. However, I was unable to find usable recordings for an Euro 6 OM-936, so for the moment, only Euro-5 sounds will be included. Again, samples, recordings, etc. are all very welcome. Only manual transmission is planned for now.
    • As far as customization, Euro 5 and Euro 6 grille will be available, as well as hubcaps. I don't know what else to add to the .cti file, since these buses don't really seem to have many differences in between them. The only thing I don't really want to do is make the baggage racks removable, since that would look bad with the current shadows in the interior texture, and it would probably require two entire models and textures for the interior to make it look right (one with shadows and one without shadows)
    • @BusfahrerP : Yes, I use a G25 myself :D

    Again, thank you very much for your suggestions. :)

    A setvar for a different type of Roof flaps would be nice, I only know the S 415 UL with a cover similar to this one of flaps

    (It's not my Picture if anyone ask)

    If you need some assistance at translating the manuals into English (for example the one guiding the Krauth AK 0139) you could contact me, if you want to.

    I don't know the exact differences between normal models and the business-models, but there's the SETRA-logo behind first door/driver's window which is missing at the business-models.

    we had that "discussion" for the S 415 LE, the two available Seat types are named "Setra Route" (comfort coach seats) and "Setra Transit" (default seats for puplic transport), under the condition, that the seat places must stay the same, because you can't customize the passengercabin. But it would be nice, you can decide, just like in the real world, do you want a cheap bus or a comfort bus.

    I think that would "blow up the frame" ("Den Rahmen sprengen", as we say in Germany, so "gets too much") but parallel to the default "Line Cockpit" for puplic transport, you can have your UL / H (GT) with a "Coach Cockpit", but for that you need a complete new cockpit box and so on in the front, I think. But if you want Pedro , i wont stop you from doing it. ^^

    There are probably a lot of differences, but to switch from €6 to €5 the .cti file would have to include (for example)

    different:

    - Mirrors

    - Steering Wheel

    - Engine flap

    - Doors (not sure about that but seems like €6 (business) doors are slightly different)

    - (Setra) Logo (as mentioned by BVG)

    - Seats

    -..?

    Sounds like many adjustments, but your basic 3d-model is pretty good and it would be a pity to have neither a "real" €6, nor a "real" €5.

  • it would be a pity to have neither a "real" €6, nor a "real" €5.

    yes, I wouldn't care so much about the efficency class itself so much in this case (would prefer €6), but model and sound should fit together, so or so.

  • Die Spiegel aus dem Citaro gibt es immer noch, das ist Bestellsache. Das Lenkrad gab es auch noch in den €5 Varianten, nur bis circa 2011 wurde das andere verbaut.

  • Hello everyone, :)

    Thank you so much for the suggestions. I obviously won't be able to acomodate every request, since I have to draw the line somewhere. However, I think I can come up with a plan now.

    So, the only real difference I can spot between the exterior of the Euro 5 and Euro 6 variants are the rear grill only. Things like the mirrors and the logo above the door seem to be differences between the "normal" and business-class models, or just different equipment requested by operators, and not actually related to build year as far as I can tell. The list right now, as it stands for the UL models:

    • "Route" and "Transit" seats - should work pretty well with the same passenger cabin coordinates, unless they have very different dimensions; (like @BusfahrerP suggested)
    • Glass doors and painted doors - this seems to be one of the main differences between the normal and business-class. The painted front door appears to come with the logo over the passsenger windows, I wasn't really able to find examples of the logo existing without the door or the other way around. The front and back doors will have seperate .cti entries;
    • Plastic and painted mirrors;
    • Glass roof hatches ( like Andvari suggested);
    • Euro 5 / Euro 6 grill;
    • Hubcaps;

    Now, @BusfahrerP actually was able to predict what I was going to do for the GT series :P In fact, that's why I'm going to leave that family for last, since it's going to require quite a bit of remodeling. However, my plan is to build the older 2008-style cockpit (since I just think it's prettier, and it would be different from the UL cockpit), with the older steering wheel and monochrome green/black trip computer. Now, I can't really say much about this until I actually start working on it, but this would obviously make it more like an E5 variant. I can make the steering wheel changeable from the .cti no problem, but as far as making two different versions of the dashboard computer changeable with the .cti, I'm not sure how feasible it will be. More information will come once it's available. But the GT will defenentley have the older style cockpit, since it's different from the modern one and I just really like the big 2008's steering wheel model. :P

    @TZ01: I'm not sure yet about the S412. Something I really don't want to do is make a single door/double door version for all the planned buses, since while it seems simple enough to do, it actually requires a lot of different modelling/mapping/texture work, and I think I would rather use that time to work on other things. Something I can do is make the 412 versions single door only, and the bigger brothers double doors. Still not sure, as I progress with the project I'll provide more information. But, like I said, I will not make single door/double door variants for all the buses - this will transform the planned 6 buses into 12 different models, and I just think that's too much work for such a small thing. Not to mention that it will require different passenger cooridnates and such, and will not be able to be changeable from the .cti file.

    Again, thank you so much for the kind words and help you guys have provided. :D

    I should have some progress to show soon. :)

    no, no I'm not a clairvoyant (Bin kein Hellseher)

    To-Do list:

  • 1) Please don't repeat the LAWO Script, that was used in the O405 / G DLC. It was such a problem to get a standard IBIS System to work with this bus. Just use the standard IBIS Script would give us more options to do with your new bus, like integrating a new ticket machine or a different IBIS System.

    2) Maybe you could add the interior as Blend File to get a higher 'mod-ability' rate as with the O405 / G. Its easier for all to find the right coordinates or add a new object (new seat-systems?) etc. pp. You know what I'm talking about.

    3.) As for me the project looks very good. I really like it.
