Add-On Grand Paris-Moulon Releasegeschehnisse

Liebe Community,

im Zuge des Releases des OMSI 2 AddOn Grand Paris-Moulon gab es leider unerwartete Geschehnisse, wodurch bei einigen Usern das komplette Hauptspiel OMSI 2 nicht mehr funktionierte. Auf Grund dessen wurde das AddOn zeitweise von Halycon aus zurückgezogen. Daraufhin brach unter den Usern eine hitzige Diskussion aus, welche hier im folgenden nachzulesen ist:

Wir werden das AddOn zunächst erst einmal wieder zurückziehen.
Es macht wenig Sinn, dass hier noch mehr Kunden verärgert werden.
An der Lösung wird auch schon gearbeitet.
Die Aktivierung geschah in guter Absicht, damit Kunden die Online Features des INEO nutzen können. Das ist mit einem Steam Login etwas einfacher zu verifizieren.
Aber das sollte und wird auch immer nur eine freiwillige Sache sein, die niemand machen muss, um die Karte zu spielen. Man sieht ja auch, dass es User ohne diese Probleme geschafft haben, die Karte zu fahren.

Wir bedauern, dass es zu solchen Problemen gekommen ist und entschuldigen uns für die Unannehmlichkeiten. In den Tests ist das leider nie aufgefallen.

An einem Update wird bereits intensiv gearbeitet und wir versuchen das so schnell wie möglich online zu bringen.

So, kurzer Stand in der Hoffnung, dass er die Gemüter auch wieder etwas beruhigt.
Wir stellen gerade die Daten für den Patch zusammen. Es hat neben dieser Aktivierung noch einige Änderungen gegeben. Wird man aber in den Patch Notes nachlesen können.

Diesen Patch würden wir gern noch einmal testen bevor wir ihn weitergeben.
Ich denke, dass ist auch im Sinne aller.

Und dann an alle, die sich meiner Meinung nach hier doch etwas im Ton vergreifen oder gar Ultimaten setzen. Hier arbeiten viele Menschen an so einem Teil. Betonung liegt auf Menschen, denn Menschen machen Fehler. So wie hier auch geschehen.
Wenn wir sagen, wir arbeiten an einem Update und das mit Hochdruck, dann ist das mit vollen Ernst gemeint. Und wenn ich hier so früh bereits etwas schreibe, dann ist das alles andere als schlechte Kommunikation. Mehr als mich dafür entschuldigen kann ich nicht, da braucht jetzt niemand mit Solmecke kommen oder mit Sammelklagen (die es in Deutschland übrigens gar nicht gibt).
Wenn alles gut läuft, dann haben wir in Kürze eine Version 1.01, die dann besser läuft.
Also, bevor hier jemand sofort auf Zinne ist, besser mal tief Luft holen.

First of all, I would like to thank you for your interest in the Grand Paris-Moulon addon. I know how much many of you are looking forward to it. After 6 years of work, you can be sure that on my side, I was also looking forward to being able to publish this addon to the public so that you can enjoy a new and much more realistic gaming experience than what OMSI used to offer.

However, as you have seen, it was a very difficult day for the release of the addon. Here are some explanations so that you can understand things very clearly without taboos :

- The version integrated and released on Steam this morning to the general public is a version from 26/01 morning. Unfortunately, in the meantime, our team has detected other bugs. A patch was packaged last night. However, our editor didn't have time to integrate it for this morning's release, which is perfectly understandable. As a result, we are actively working on patching the map. The known bugs are : Missing tile on the RD36 area (lines 8, 14, 91.06A and 91.06D) because missing object: X10 R420 + C2 NGT AI vehicle not optimised + AI Class A vehicle which has script problems.

- Second problem, and especially the biggest problem, is that the addon's online activation plugin did not work as we wanted it to ... or at least does not seem to work in any other community than the French. Indeed, I had no feedback on any activation problem from the French community, the step seems very simple for you. On the other hand, on the German and other sides, some people encounter very big bugs that simply prevent OMSI from opening. So, the fact that they have GPM on their Steam library clearly prevents them from playing OMSI (even for maps other than GPM, like Grundorf etc ...). This poses a real problem. Therefore, it has been decided to temporarily disable the sale of the addon on the Steam platform. This is the reason why this afternoon, most of them were not able to download the addon after payment. Some even uninstalled the addon automatically. Don't worry, it's normal, it's an action of our editor. I think this action is still going on at the time of writing.

Now let's talk about what will happen in the next few hours/days:

We are working with our editor to resolve these big bugs as soon as possible.

Rest assured that we are doing our best to publish a patch as soon as possible so that you can resume your activities on the addon or buy the addon.

It may take longer than expected to patch a new working version. The rigour is of our quality, not the speed 😉 .

On behalf of the whole team, I would like to offer my sincere apologies for these totally unexpected bugs. It is obvious that I would not allow myself to provide a version as buggy as this one. It is totally involuntary on my part.

I would also like to apologize for my inactivity today, apart from this hard day due to the many bugs in the addon, I also have an IRL job which also takes up a lot of my time. I couldn't be as reactive as I would have liked to be.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for the positive comments that I have read on Facebook, forums etc... It makes me very happy, just to let you know.

For the negative or aggressive comments, I understand your dissatisfaction, be sure. I ask you to be patient a little longer in order to enjoy a better gaming experience on my addon.
