[WIP] Mercedes Benz C2 (2011-2022) Berlin/Neutral

Nochmal damit Ihr es nicht Falsch versteht. Ich habe gesagt ich lese die die 3 Seiten nur noch heller und dunkler. Was sich hier herausliest ist einfach gesagt, jeder hat nen anderen Geschmack. Wollen wir jetzt echt abwarten bis 1000 Rückmeldung kommen. Kann man den keine Umfrage in 1. Post machen? Damit sich das herauskristallisiert, was am beliebtesten ist? Und ja ihr habt Recht, dass Ihr gefragt wurdet und ihr solltet euch äußern. Ist auch alles gut. Aber wir drehen uns im Kreis. Da hätte der MX es anders lösen können.

Tut mir leid, dass Ihr Euch jetzt angegriffen fühlt. Ich wollte einfach nur auf etwas hinweisen.

Kleine Anmerkung an den Autor Mx.dsgn (Mx200) oder an diejenigen, die die Beiträge posten:

Wertet das Ganze doch einfach anhand von Reaktionen aus. Man soll also bspw. mit "Gefällt mir" reagieren, wenn es heller werden soll, mit "Haha" wenn dunkler, und mit "Danke" wenn perfekt. Nur es ist halt wirklich doof gemacht, wenn man ein Bild reinschickt, jeder heller, dunkler oder perfekt antwortet, und dann die Textur entsprechend korrigiert wird. Danach wird wieder ein Bild davon reingeschickt und es wird wieder nach der Meinung gefragt.

Es ist nur eine Textur, die man - zur Erinnerung - später noch ändern kann! Man sollte sich da also bitte nicht so festklammern.

Ich finde die Textur passt so. Wenn wir hier so weiter machen, macht sich Mx warscheinlich schon selber Vorwürfe was er alles besser machen könnte... also Kopf ins Wasser und Schwänzchen in die Höh'

Generell gesagt: Mega geile Arbeit! Mit dem C2 haben wir dann einen endlich guten, qualitativ hochwertigen. Habe eh noch ne Frage:

Wird der C2 dann KI-Fähig sein?

Wäre schon eine interessante Frage da viele den auf ihrer Map dann auch einsetzen werden denke ich

Der Abstand der Rundanzeigen zum Rahmen ist im Original immer konstant gleich (blaue Striche). Im Modell wird er nach oben hin größer.

Zudem schließt der Menübereich des Multifunktionsdisplays gerade mit den unteren Enden der Rundinstrumente ab (blaue Linie). Beim Modell stehen sie über.

Can't you just let that go ? Seriously it's just a matter of millimeters, and nobody will avec notice unless they have a perfectly straight pictures (like yours). I don't think you understand the scale of what your asking here. Depending on what's wrong, the fix can go from a simple texture fix, with the needles beeing moved a little bit and call it a day. But if the problem comes from the screen, it may need to be exported all over again, not only that but it may also be done all over again if there is a problem of proportions. Not only that, maybe the dash isn't in the same place il all versions, maybe it needs to be exported multiple times ?

I don't understand your goal here, do you wan't (as everyone here) to drive these excellent looking buses as quick as possible ?

Or is your goal to point out as many tiny little details like a maniac ? (Are you Adrian Monk ?)

In my eye a critic is only constructive when it's for the greater good. If it is a bout some big problems that everybody will notice. If you need to get your micro meter and your macro lens to show the "problem" your pointing out, at best the author will fix it and it will add god how long to the developpement time, at worst, he will just be discouraged and abandon the project (lake MANY other projects..)

I totally disagree with this. For me (as a bus creator!) constructiv critic is everything that helps to improve the result and it must be allowed to name everything that differs from the original. If the creater pays huge attention to detail an so corrects all the small issues is his personal decision. To point out a mistake does not mean that it has to be correceted. But if it isn't showed by someone it can't be corrected.

To be honest: I would prefer to drive these buses as perfect as possible, not as quick as possible.

Ja. Zudem wird noch eine reduzierte KI-Version mitgeliefert.

Also ich fine die busse sehen schon mega stark aus mein riesen lob an das entwickler team, aber ich muss aber auch dazu sagen. dsa wenn nicht die IENE variante mitgeliefert wird die man wollte kann man sich das immer noch semi real zurecht modden oder selber zusammen schnipseln, ich freue mich auf jedenfall auf die busse und kann es kaum erwarten die auf karten einzusetzten.

Die Modellierung wurde in Bildern und Testvideos vermittelt, aber es war kein Ton zu hören.

Es gibt mehrere Videos auf Youtube, in denen zwischendurch sogar extra nicht geredet wird (etc), damit man den Sound hört.

It depends if you see the glass half full or half empty. As a bus creator as well, I feel like some people look at your pictures with the only goal of finding errors and problems. I feel like that as long as we don't have access to 3d scanning or official CAD files it will NEVER be perfect.

When I see screenchots of that dashboard I just see a well reproduced Citaro dashboard, and even when comparing with that picture I don't feel like it's too bad.

And to be honnest, I don't feel like nitpicking about millimeters is the way too go. Especially when we know that some C2 were released before and nobody complained about them even if there are some obvious defects.

I know you are a well informed omsi player/creator and in that quality you expect everything is perfect and I can relate to that. But you are not the average omsi player so it's pefectly normal your expectations are a bit higher.

I think that the average omsi player that is not a bus driver behind the wheel of a citaro 40h a week, will look at this dash and say "this is a nice Citaro dash". And keep in mind that these palyer represent a very vast majority of the OMSI player.

I'm just worried that nitpicking may discourage the creator to the point of abandoning everything like it have happened many times before. And a critic that in your mind is just to help improving the creations may become the final nail in a coffin.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against critics but I feel like we must adapt our expectation to the means available to the creator, and millimeter precision is not achievable without very expensive gear that nobody has.

Either way, I really like how this project is turning out and I'm wishing the best to the dev team, and after all, it is up to them to define what "constructive is" for their creation. And as I expressed before, millimiter precision is not constructive to me.

You're right: Some people use wrong words to point out some not perfect things, like "you should fix this immediatly otherwise I will not download your crap." This is not contructiv, although the the critic itself may have a point. But if someone shows something with a marked picture "look, these measures seem not to fit compared to the original, perhaps it is possible to improve that area" there is no reason to take this critics personal and cancel the project.

Yes, of course, the majority of users won't see such small differences in the model, but to speak FOR ME: I always want to create a model that is as perfect as possible. Absolute perfection isn't possible, but every help in finding inaccuracies helps me to reach a higher standard.

I don't know if Mx and his team want perfection or not, that is their decision. But for that they are the only to say "stop this nitpicking".

And to be honest: In a way nitpicking in the manner it is done here shows, that there must have been a lot done well until here...

I think you are pointing something very right here, the way it is said is almost more important than what is said, even I felt aggression in the message in answered to first, even though it's not my bus.

Though to quote you here "there is no reason to take this critics personal and cancel the project" many projects were abadon for many reasons including, too big for the creator, no time, data lost, or simply bad interaction with the community (I mean by that, they may have not liked some comments).

At the end of the day we can think what we wan't, it's the perception of the creator that counts the most. Their perception of critics, and their will to attain perfection or something close to that is the benchmark here

Sorry das ich hier nochmal nerve mit meiner nächsten Frage aber ich kann es mir nicht verkneifen(Falls Noch nicht gefragt wurde, kannst sonnst gelöscht werden.), aber wird es bei den C2 Bezüglich ansagen so sein, das diese aus der Hof-Datei ausgelesen werden oder aus dem Busstop Würfel?.

Würde nämlich für eventuell zukünftig schon ansagen dann vorbereiten.

Zunächst einmal: Diese Version des Lenkrades sieht echt top aus, würd ich so lassen, sehr schick!

Egsl ob es nun manchen passt oder nicht, gebe ich nochmal meinen Senf ab. Ich bin nämlich der Meinung, dass gerade konkrete Kritik sinnvoll ist.

Daher war ich mal so frech und habe mir dieses sehr hilfreiche Vergleichsbild von B&B gemopst. Mir ist nämlich aufgefallen, dass der Tacho und der Drehzahlanzeiger in Relation einen zu großen Durchmesser haben, ich glaube das Infodisplay ist auch einen Tick zu groß.

Das könnte daher rühren, dass die gesamte Tachofläche nämlich etwas zu groß ist und die Messinstrumente diesen Platz daher auch ausfüllen. In Realität scheint mir die Fläche des Tachos hingegen nach oben hin zuzulaufen, also schmaler zu werden. Demzufolge ist auch für die Instrumente weniger Platz und sie müssen etwas kleiner sein.

Genug der vielen Worte, ich hoffe mein Gemale in B&Bs Vergleichsbild zeigt, was ich meine:

Da ich das Dash des C2 allerdings nicht wirklich gut kenne, mag es vielleicht auch sein, dass das an der Perspektive liegt.

Ja, das vermute ich auch, dass die Skalierung der Textur etwas zu groß war. Das verbessert zwar ungemein die Lesbarkeit der Instrumente, jedoch bietet diesen Vorteil der originale Instrumententräger nicht.

Wie erwähnt - und bevor hier noch wer meinen latenten Zynismus abbekommt (... der ist nämlich tagesformabhängig), kritisiere ich dann auch lieber nichts weiter. Ich möchte mir nicht nachsagen lassen, dass ich Entwickler mit meiner Pingeligkeit nachdrücklich demotivieren würde...

Habt ihr die Bedieneinheit(en) für die Klimaanlage schon gebaut? Da gab's ja im EEV und frühen Euro6er noch die "alte" Steuereinheit mit ihren drei Reglern und 3 bis 5 Knöpfen (wie in den meisten OMSI-Bussen) und dann die neue von Mercedes mit dem Display (z.B. Ich glaube meine Frage zu der Klimabedieneinheit ist in der ganzen Lenkradtextur-Thematik etwas uuntergegangen. Bisher habe ich auch in keinem der Videos von Iajer die Einheit gesehen.
